Head gasket replacement
I'll take that under consideration.

Injector install questions
If I have to open 6 lines to get mine started the chicken man will be pissed. I have messed with #6 and return line on the back of head all I care to for awhile. I swapped my injectors about 7 8 weeks ago. Cyvled the lift pump 4 or 5 times and it fired right off. Pretty lucky on that one, I usually have crack 2 or 3 of them.

So what is a good alternative?

Head gasket replacement
Well start up will be tomorrow. Got the rockers all in, torqued down, and the valves adjusted. Return line on the head gave me fits, but I am done hugging the back of the motor. Was going to start it tonight but a missing spring clamp and plug in the intake stopped me.

24v KDP Question and Flywheel Question
I would darn sure find a better way than removing the case.

24v KDP Question and Flywheel Question
I would be surprised if your 99 had the same case as my 02 so I could not say. I know there is sumple way to fix it but googling seems to show the timing case needs to be removed. If so that is a job with the engine in the truck.

24v KDP Question and Flywheel Question
I dont know for sure, the only one i have is my 02. This is mine. It is an updated caes with stepped that will not let mine work itself out. Not sure what yours might look like.

24v KDP Question and Flywheel Question
I think you remove one of the timing case bolts and put a tab under that bolt that keeps the pin in. IIRC that is. Then just put the cover back on. Take them both to a machine shop and see what they think.

24v KDP Question and Flywheel Question
Never heard of having to cut the case for a KDP tab install. You can have the flywheel resurfaced. Did on my first clutch install. Depends on how bad either one of them are.

Injector install questions
Sorry that was @WiscoRedkneck. I did not your reply until after I posred. You might the injector lines again and be sure you still have good fuel to them.

Injector install questions
Boost leak comes to mind. You might recheck anything you took loose installing the injectors. Any possibility one set was not new but rebuilt? Just yhinking out loud. This was for @WiscoRedkneck.

airdog and fuel pressure sensor location
I have run the same set up 8 or 9 years myself. Different gauge though.

I understand that, but I just spent my Quad savings.

Injector install questions
They are like a 40+hp not sure of the size of holes. I you can strap a trailer on it and get some good pulls and get the egt's up over 1000* and cook it off. I have seen mine with small weeps that do go away after few days. I am not talking about running fuel, joist moistness. Mine are a little smokey with the Comp. Just put in a set rebuilt RV's in mine and we shall see if they are any different. I had a set 50's in there before and surprised at the difference in smoke just to a 50. Is your boost pressure the same as before the install. Might have boost leak.

P0122 - Step #6
No problem just wanted to be sure. Dont give up on the ecm, need to wait and see what others can add to this. These kind of electrical gremlins are trickey and above my pay grade.

Head gasket replacement
I would say about 200 lbs. Based on my brother and I lifting it out of the Saturns trunk. Mine seemed a bit stuck on removal, but couple raps with the dead blow and some tension on the hoist and broke loose easily.

P0122 - Step #6
Just to be clear, the engine is revving with you operating the throttle or is revving on its own? Step 6 as described is a bit of a conundram though.

Guess what this is
Think smaller.

Injector install questions
Thats El Pollo Loco to most. You might be ok. You can always fire it off and see. A little weep will most likely go away. But if you see fuel flowing most likely not. I did it the same way you did the first time I swapped my injectors. The only cure I found was loosening everything up then tighten the lines and then the hold downs and they all stopped. It is not unusual to see some moistness around the lines but should go away over several days. You can fire it off without valve cover on. I always feared oil flying everywhere. Wrong.

Head gasket replacement
Beautiful but slow day today. Got the fuel lines and injectors installed. Also half the pushrods and rockers. Finish those tomorrow and adjust the valves and she should be alive tomorrow.

Injector install questions
Yes there is a gap. I will get you a picture. The toraue on them is 18#. To be honest with you I have not torqued one in a long time. Something else that will help with leaks is tighten the injector line before you tighten the hold down. That will let the injector rotate a bit to seat the crossover tube. I do put the hold down blocks on first and install the bolt but leave it loose until the line is tightened.

Turbo Install
Did happen to come down TURKEY creek road first? Man I hate that for you. This head gasket replacement weighs heavy on my mind of what I might miss. Hope to crank it tomorrow.

Lights question
The wifes 06 Dakota had clear lenses and halogen bulbs. They put out much better light than my 02. Going that route some time this year.

Injector install questions
Did you seat the injectors? Did all the old copper sealing washer come out with the injectors? They should not be that much higher with new washers. Just installed new ones in mine and did not notice any height difference.

Guess what this is
I'll pack it out on the goat Monday morning. As soon as the goat gets back I'll pack yours. It is a chicken sized goat. Can't haul much at one time. This just means you're screwed.
