You guys know how I like to play with exhaust
My new truck has M-55s and they hum like mad at hwy speed. Prob just because they’re cupped bad. Evan is your truck leveled? How much? Planning to do an exhaust soon to my truck. Should I go 5 inch or 4? Stainless or aluminuzed? Your truck looks sharp!

5 Speed Swap
Where do I get this PRND21 cover? So the driveshafts should bolt up? How hard is it to change the input shaft on the t case?

5 Speed Swap
I agree that a built auto and a swap are about the same money wise. I think that manual is better for towing though. Pulling hills in overdrive just sucks they’re is no power at all. Drop a 5 speed in 4th and you can pull a grade all day.

5 Speed Swap
Well as much as I was excited about having an automatic and not shifting gears as much I can now say I hate my automatic! I have hauled two tractors now with my new truck and it absolutely sucks! I am planning to do a 5 speed swap at this point. Here is my parts list so far please add what you think is necessary and add any ideas or concerns about it. NV4500 Bellhousing (will the standard one work or will I need a special one?) Clutch (South Bend ConOFE) Clutch Fork Slave cylinder and resivor NP241DHD t case (will the DLD behind my 47RE work?) Driveshafts Shifter console and cup holder PCM ECM Gauge cluster (Can I have one programmed to match my mileage?) What else will I need?

Might need a turbo
Like these guys said if they’re is no visual marks on the housing and no in and out play your most likely fine. I though the same thing on my truck but it was totally fine. Good luck!

Transfer case leak
Part of owning a CTD they like to leak. I can put up with leaks though for reliability and longevity. Good luck getting that fixed!

Transfer case leak
Yes you can. We use right stuff gasket maker. Works very well. Try to let it dry for an hr or so before filling with fluid.

Diff switch from 3.55 to 4.10
All I did was pop ring and pinion out and reinstall the 3:54 set. It was very easy. Some trucks require shimming but mine didn’t. For a quieter ride, better mpg, higher speed.

Diff switch from 3.55 to 4.10
Close. 2 hrs from the border in polson Montana

Diff switch from 3.55 to 4.10
I have a used set of 4:10 ring and pinion. I’d sell them for a good price. I just did the same thing but the other way around in my old truck. It’s not very hard.

47RE Upgrades
So I’m thinking maybe a dual disc converter. And a valvebody should do the job? What mods would I need to lockup all the shifts through 4th? I saw a video of a 24 valVe with lockup through all the gears.

Time to look for a new truck!
Good luck. They’re are deals out they’re. I just bought a 99 with 102k for 13,800. Most with that mileage are over 18k

47RE Upgrades
Sounds a lot easier to do a five speed swap when she goes....

47RE Upgrades
I feel like all I really need then to run a small chip is a balvebody and maybe a converter?

47RE Upgrades
I want to be able to do to all three without worry.

47RE Upgrades
Will just a shift kit and added line pressure hold 350hp?

transfer case to drive line seal
It is called a t case output seal. It can be easily found at NAPA. Take a sharp screwdriver or tool of choice and go around the tail housing and pry the old seal out. Apply grease to new seal around the edges and use a hammer to lightly tap it in until fully seated. Very easy to do. Make sure to loctite those rear driveline bolts. Now is also a good time to do a rear pinion seal if necessary.

47RE Upgrades
Morning guys, I’m wondering what I will need to have my trans hold 350 hp and reliably tow? I have a deep pan on the way and planning to do a lockup switch. I’m thinking I will do a set of rv275s and a small tuner of choice. So that’s about all I’ll be doing for power. Also what do I need to know about monitoring trans temps? What is to high and what is safe?

New truck
Thanks. I ordered a Mag Hytec double deep pan already. Headlights are a must before long and the strut as well.

New truck
Just changed the serpentine belt. It was the original belt said Mopar on it. Original track bar replacement going on next. Brace will be in the future as well.

New truck
Good to know. Sounds like JD fluid is a good one to use. For sure but I’m not near enough financially capable to own to 24 valves. I already have 3 vehicles to drive and pay for. I have a 93 dodge Dakota automatic and a 2006 Subaru Legacy gt. I really like my car to. Gets up and goes and is awd.
