  1. Hmm but I hook up a scanner and get no codes? Tried the OBDLink and my Scan Gauge.
  2. Anyone have an explanation for the P1963 and the --------- and PDone? The dash part seems strange. Like it is telling me there is a code but it don't know what it is? Going to be starting the truck in a little while and we will see how she starts and runs today.
  3. Whats the temp been? Blue smoke is typical on a cold morning but white smoke tends to be injectors or injection pump issues. How many miles on the truck and are the injectors original?
  4. ASk @W-T Hes running the show now lol.
  5. Hmm hopefully some more guys will chime in with some more death symptoms. I don’t want to go out and buy a 1500 dollar part if I don’t need it...
  6. Another side note. Truck seems to run and idle well after its warm...
  7. It would be helpful to us to know at least the code number. I would test for AC noise and also clean grounds.
  8. Which means new VP44? I will also add that when I was repriming the system after the Fass install it took a really long time for the fuel to reach the pump and injectors. I did the bump starter priming method at lest 6 times and a lot of 30 second crank intervals before it started. Also I had 3 injectors cracked to bleed air.
  9. Dsosnt real address the issues I'm having.
  10. Well I thought the truck was running good... It sat last night and most of today and I went to start her and she fired first crank but idle extremely erratic and had a nasty lope and unloaded a mass cloud of white smoke... New injectors went in a week and a half ago and all seemed well until the lift pump failed. I'm thinking the LP took the VP too. Fuel pressure went straight to 20 psi so that's not a issue. Ran the key trick and got P1693 and then -------- and then P Done. checked for codes and found nothing.
  11. I think he means a ECM for a Automatic tranny.
  12. @dripley You might be too drunk to read this but my plans got canceled and I home again lol...
  13. Truck has been running a bit rough after a cold start. Hand calculated. Lie o meter has been reading 14.7. I think your lie o meter is shucked up big time LOL. Not neccasarily stop and go because I live in a rural town with a population of 1k people. Only 1 main street and never stop and go besides turns and stops...
  14. Hmm tomorrow I'm gonna check alighnment with a string or something. I'm also wondering about the VP too...
  15. Can crappy alighnment cause low mpgs? Idk why I cant get more than 14.2 mpg when its 35 40 degrees. I'm dying to get at least 17 or 18 mpg... I realize that my oversize tires aren't helping but I got to wait till they wear out to replace them... what are you guys seeing for mpg?
  16. If anything retitle the thread! This is great guys!
  17. Maybe @trreed would know about weight. He has 4th gen wheels. Yea they are the same I was just considering getting 3rd or 4th gen wheels. Its possible that my truck is the stock ride height it just looks like the rear sits high which is normal. Plus I have airbags installed...
  18. Gotcha thank you. I was slightly confused because we were talking about both types of noise in this thread...
  19. I'm definalty not a fan of big lifts lol. IM not sure if my truck is actually levled but it appears that there is some leveling blocks in the back. Ill post up a pic later. Also when these tires wear out ill be going to 265/75/16 or 17 depending whether I get a set of 3rd or 4th gen wheels. I was also curious how the weight of the wheels compares between these generations? Would the 3rd and 4th be heavier than the stock alloys on my 2nd gen? I definatly don't wanna get anything that's going to be heavier....
  20. Did you mean to say that he is creating an article soon? Now I'm a wee bit confused about the pump noise filter. Are we talking about AC noise or audible noise?
