2000 to 2002 Steering upgrade
If I had bought my truck new and done same things as you and used small tires and stock ride height etc that would problbly be ok by me. Being that the PO of my truck fiddled with ride height and tire size an I need new parts I might as well upgrade to a better design. But then again you will prob say that its not a better design? I'm not sure either way....

2000 to 2002 Steering upgrade
Thanks. I'm also a little worried about the back spacing and the TREs clearing my stock alloy wheels so I'm thinking about just buying the kit and returning it if it don't fit or fabricate it to work... Hopefully when I do the kit I can afford a professional alighnment

2000 to 2002 Steering upgrade
My vin tag says my build date of my truck is 1999. Does this mean that it has 1999 steering or will the 4th gen steering bolt on to it as well? Iv got to figure out something new for my steering. It is all over the road and and hard to keep going straight and downright dangerous... there is a ton of slop in the steering wheel and it looks like is sloppy all the way down to the steering box when I get down there and look. Everything else seems pretty tight.... Bad steering box? Track bar?

Lift Pump Question

Lift Pump Question
Cool well ill live with it then! Thanks again for the pump! Took her for another ride and got on it good. I guess it maybe takes little extra throttle input to get going with injectors cause she went pretty good when I got on it.

Do you know what the codes mean? If not read up here... https://mopar1973man.com/cummins/articles.html/24-valve-2nd-generation_50/51_engine/obdii-error-codes_94/

Where did you mount your Fass Relay?-(wire harness)
@GSP7 My airtex took a crap on me over the weekend and I got a Fass 150 used from a member and already have it installed! lol. I didn't even mount my relay. I just zip tied it up close to the rest of the wiring and fuel hose...

Lift Pump Question
Also there is a P1693 code whe doing the key trick but no codes display on my Scan Gauge or my OBDLink.... there is the p0230 lift pump code still in the freeze frame section though. COming up @trreed I'm having trouble uploading the video. Its not just terrible noisy but surely noticeable. also when I loosen the screw in the bottom of the water separator the pump gets much quieter and my fuel pressure goes to like 12 psi...

Lift Pump Question
You guys LOL!! Took my girl out for a spin and all seems well so far! Idle pressure is a solid 20psi and wot is about 18 psi! I didn't mash it but I got into pretty good and it didn't drop below 17. I'm very satisfied so far! I am curious though if the pump noise I'm hearing is normal. I can easily hear it when idling and I'm fairly hard of hearing. I also am still wondering about the power of these 75hp injectors. I installed a Qaudzilla Boost Fooler and I think it made it bit of top end difference but it still seems rather doggish for 75s and not a puff of smoke to be seen which is ok by me. I'm certain that my can bus tuners had a lot more juice than these sticks. I'm still tossing around the idea of a worn out vp44 though because my mpg hasn't been able to top 14.8 by the lie o meter and it seems to ack some power.. what you guys think?

Lift Pump Question
The original questions of my thread have been answered. Please elaborate!

Lift Pump Question
We will see. Don’t worry I’m not complaining! That’s plenty of idlenpressure.

Lift Pump Question
Yep I’m growing to take her for a spin in about 20 mins. I’ll post back with results as far as fuel pressure etc. Currently holding 19 Psi at idle. Will it go up at all once I run it a bit?

Lift Pump Question
Just a hummin sound. I think it’s perfectly normal... I’m just not used too it haha! @W-T I really like the idea of a Carter pump and the waynhey are built. I wish we could somehow get them to build a 150gph pump that will last. Filtration systems are not hard to build yourself. Only down side is no air seperatiom.... just thinking aloud here.

Lift Pump Question
lol I’m glad to see that Someone on here is local! I would love it if you would write an article or thread on the subject!! We respect your knowledge as well!

Lift Pump Question
I’m with you... got he pump installed and truck seems to be running good. 19 psi at idle I haven’t drove it yet sonidk WhT wot is yet... only thing I’m not happy with is the noise that it makes... it’s just part of it though! So far I’m happy with it! Thanks @trreed! That would be awesome if so... You seems to be a deep thinker as well! Lol. Thank you for the input... treed is correct though in saying that the coil is rather small....

Lift Pump Question
Wow that’s an earful! I might have to take care of that. Someone was saying that a protective relay needs to be installed also to eliminate hard starts from to much cranking fuel pressure? Man I wish there was a way to make a carter flow better... like a 150gph lift pump minus the filters. Yes I do understand the principles of air separation.

Strange Noise
I actually have a very good friend that’s a quality mechnic. I stopped by one day just to see him and we somehow got talking about it. He got out this tool that looked like a stethoscope and probed around and he thinks there is excessive noise coming from the tensioner arm....

Finally, Tie rod ends and drag link replacement.
What do you mean? Measure from the insides of the wheels?

Lift Pump Question
Lol I did notice that! I'm gonna get the wiring all neat and tidy and hit the key to double check that its working.... Then I got to hope and pray my VP44 didn't **** on me too...

Lift Pump Question
Finishing up the install of the FASS 150 and I'm curious what you guys did with the extra length of wire harness? I cannot stand wires running all over under my hood so I'm thinking about coiling all the extra and zipting it to the pump area.... I'm waiting for a fitting to arrive tomorrow and then hopefully I can get her running again!
