  1. I think the test that you perform for P0232 will tell you if it’s bad. Someone correct me if I’m wrong
  2. Could be. I’m gonna guess he has bad ecm.
  3. Good advice @JAG1 Do check all connections that have anything to do with your isssues. There could always be shorts in the wiring somewhere too.
  4. Not a problem were here too help each other. Hopefully some people that know more will chip in. I would take a closer look at the PO232 code seems that could likely be your problem. P1475 also points too bad ECM I believe.
  5. Obviously you have an issue that's not going away. Its possible your ecm is bad. I would perform all tests mentioned about the codes you have. The tests are listed under the code number in the link I gave you.
  6. That is better than mine lol! How old is your vp? When you cleared the codes did they come back?
  7. They obviously have the money to throw at their vehicles and to fuel them. Betcha that truck isn't getting 10 mpg or less lol.
  8. Do you know what the codes are? If not hre is where to find out. https://mopar1973man.com/cummins/articles.html/24-valve-2nd-generation_50/51_engine/obdii-error-codes_94/ Iv heard of people having this issue and it was the vp44. Whats your fuel pressure?
  9. What has he been smoking? I looked around under the truck but everything seemed tight. only weird thing I saw was the bracket connecting the bar from the frame to the axle was bent a little.
  10. Welcome! Your gonna love this place! There is a ton of information to be gleaned here!
  11. Do you have a pic? For buying used tuners I would suggest buying from a Mopar1973Man or Cummins forum members.
  12. Exactly what mine does. I’m sure it’s just he norm
  13. Whats the best means of flushing? Siphon out and refill repeatedly whilst having someone turn the wheels back and forth?
  14. Shouldn't be hard! Looking forward to this extra mpg and power lol. Only thing I'm not looking forward to is a toasted clutch. I was talking to someone about it and they acted like injectors would slip a clutch faster than a tuner. Is this so? I have yet to slip it with an Edge Juice. Guy I bought my truck from said it was the original clutch but who knows. This is off topic but 98% of the time when I go into reverse it wont go unless I sort of ease the stick up and k=let the clutch out at the same time. Is this a sign of my clutch going south?
  15. LOL! I expect it to take me a little longer but we will see! With your article to help me it should be a breeze! How hard is it to access injectors 5 and 6? Of course there is some brackets and parts that need to be removed for access.
  16. I do plan to flush it soon. DO you know how much fluid is needed to flush the pump? I have also considered getting a aftermarket power steering pump which is supposed to make steering easier? https://www.dieselpowerproducts.com/p-17090-borgeson-800328-high-flow-power-steering-pump-upgrade-94-02-dodge-ram-2500-3500.aspx It usually seems alright until I see below 25 30 degrees. I'm sure that has a lot to do with it. Tire pressure on my truck is too high if anything lol.
  17. Right on. I was thinking I would get them from Cummins but somewhere on CF I read that someone paid over 60$ for a o ring kit when you can get much cheaper at DAP or elsewhere. I called the nearest diesel shop and they have everything I need but theyre 45 minute drive. Ill prob end up going and getting from there. Anyone have tips or tricks for injector swaps? I reads @Mopar1973Man article on removal and install so I feel comfortable digging in.
  18. I have some friends with jack stands so I should be able to use them. This didn't start till after I went into the ditch after our first snow here in MT so that's problably what messed it up lol. Used to drive straight and true for me. One thing I hate about my truck is it is extremely hard to turn the wheel when its cold. This is normal because of cold making fluids thick correct?
  19. I see standard and thick and thin copper washers. Which do I want?
  20. Can I reuse copper washers or better to get new? Remember that I'm using the DDPs I have..
  21. Tag on inside of door said 60 all around I thought ill double check and adjust accordingly. Ill take a look at the track bar and tie rods. Iv heard of jacking up the front and using a spud bar to try to lift the tires but I'm not sure the reason why you would do it? Wheel bearings?
