  1. Well I’ll be darned! I always thought it was very hard on them to take off while cold.
  2. I defiantly need the switch. This has to have something to do with my low fuel eco too.
  3. Is it not hard on it too take off before engine is warm? Obviously when I get the high idle switch warm up time will drop
  4. That would be cool! I’m sending you a pm here shortly. I know that idling for long periods of time are hard on fuel economy but I’m also wondering if idling for 15 minutes every morning is too long? Will that length of time cuase cylinder wash down?
  5. Guess what? I’m going out to dump some in right this minute! Haha! If your ever in the St Ignatius Mt area let’s grab some dinner and talk trucks!
  6. Agreed! When I get some more cash I will get one!
  7. Bummer I should have picked one up.
  8. Should all the soot be removed from exhaust side of turbo? If so with what?
  9. Thanks for the graph! Very helpful. I would love to purchase an mpg/ high idle switch from you! When do they go on sale? Im seriously thinking that the weather is what’s causing 75 percent of mpg drop. Liometer when I had the edge ez said 16 so it was prob like 14.5 and with the qaud it said 17.5 which was prob 15 16 mpg. Still I think that is too low for a Diesel engine with low miles. As far as injectors with the the qaud I can actually tune them to help mpg right? Or would I be better off with 100s or 75s?
  10. I m wondering if the winter weather and fuel didn’t have quite a bit to do with my loss. Still I think it’s something else too. How many mpgs have you guys lost in winter? It’s averaging about 20 degrees here right now
  11. Thank you for the clarification! Makes a little more sense now! Lol
  12. I’ll def go with the genuine kit.
  13. Thanks! Dap has a genuine Holset rebuild kit and a white box rebuild kit. What’s the difference?
  14. Sorry for not clarifying but I’m asking about the hose on the left. The right one I believe is the oil drain that goes to the oil filter.
  15. Here are some pics of the turbo. I’m not sure what that flexible hose is on the side?
  16. Yep it was! I was actually looking at a different one when you first said that and never noticed the other one!
  17. That must be what happpend. The end was kind of hidden which is why I couldn’t see it at first
  18. Thanks! I’m glad it was free lol! Sorry for wasting your time!
  19. K guys please don’t laugh at me because I feel really stupid! I went and popped the hood and looked down and boom there was a vacuum line laying right there unhooked from the connecter. Started truck and shifted straight into 4x4!
  20. I do have a leak somewhere. My vents do not switch. It is stuck on defrost. Which line supply’s that?
  21. We’re gonna give If a shot! I must be really dumb! Of course this test is going to fail because obviously the truck isn’t going into 4 wheel drive! Grumph.... Ok so I started he truck and took the black and red vac lines off the cad unit and felt either very very small amount of vacuum or none. Put t case in 4 and got the same.
