So I got to test idle pressure at the filter canister with a friends short hoses tester. It read same as the edge monitor. 17 18 psi idle. Revved to 1200 and had 15 16 psi. Seems like the edge is spot on so far. I do have the Vulcan diesel tester on the way to test wot pressures. Now I’m really stumped as to the cuase of the drop in psi... Maybe the pump is going bad slowly? I have heard of a ball and spring hat is adjustable inside the ddrp should I try that?

Can I test the lash and not adjust while hot or will it still not work? What I’m the world do you do driving 13 hours every day? No wonder you have so many miles on your truck! Lol

Didn’t think you could lol. My problem is is I get home at 5 and have to leave at 5 next morning! No time too cool the engine. Settings should be .010 intake and .020 exhaust correct ?

Can you adjust valves on a hot engine? If not how long to let the engine cool?

MYbe a tiny bit. Main reason for wanting to dampen sound is going down the highway it’s the worst. Idk if a hood cover would help much or not or if I would have to do firewall etc.

Ok I just noticed when looking at injectors I had the option for new bodies...

That I’m going to do! If it is ok what would cuase the ticking when I let off the throttle?

Ha I just did the valves! But I’m starting to wonder if I didn’t tighten the nuts sown good enough and they came loose. Reason for thinking this is also becuase when I let odf the throttle it starts ticking and diminishes as rpms go down.

I can see what your saying about ratio. Plan is too just let these go until I get the He351cw in and then I’ll be getting new from Dap. This is off topic but are new bodies a necessity?

One other thing. When idling this morning I would idle it up to 1200 rpm and when doing so the lights would dim a little bit including headlights and interior lights. Normal or no?

I’m curious if anyone has ever bought a sound dampening hood liner? Results? Do they work? I love the sound of my truck but mainly engine noise is so loud I can’t even hear the radio.

I put some Power Service Injector cleaner in my tank along with anti gel. We will see if it helps at all...

Well I cleaned everything good and tightened everything down good and took it for a ride and the problem is gone! We have ice on the roads so I locked the brakes completely up. Also she started much better. It does still sound a little rough at idle but obviously that is part of my other issue... Thanks again for the help!!
