  1. I see. But is there any reason why I can’t use the truck pump and do the exact same test just with the engine running?
  2. Johns directions say to put in gear and run the vacuum pump. Obviously I can’t do it in gear so just select 4x4 and run motor?
  3. In this test to run the vacuum pump I just need to run the engine right?
  4. Would love to use Dynamat but I’m on a budget and their prices are ridiculous. I have heard that two layers of Frost King are just as good?
  5. I am willing to do that if the motor is bad but I don’t want to throw parts at her. I also need to finish checking for vacuum at the switch on the transfer case.
  6. Hmm well I will prob be going with 7x0.010s later so I guess I’ll find out then!
  7. Got he valves adjusted and there were several that were out of wack! Seems to idle a tad smoother too. HVnt took it out on the road yet but I’ll update once I do so. Still i I would like to try to lessen road noise in the cab. I have heard that you can buy Frost King duct insulation from Lowe’s and it works well?
  8. Could you message me a pic of your truck with those 4th gen wheels? I am thinkin about doing his switch too. Ha I am so dumb I didn’t even see these before I asked for those pics!
  9. I readjusted my valves yesterday and they were a little messed up so maybe his is my mpg thief? Doesn’t seem like it would take almost 4 mpg out. Next thing is going to be injectors. Thinking that that is going to fix the rest of mpg as these are original with 127k on them. How long have you guys went on original Bosch injectors?
  10. I have not tested this yet I need to do so. I ended up going to town yesterday so didn’t get everything done I wanted to. Maybe this afternoon I can try this.
  11. Got he turbo in the mail yesterday! It’s problably going to be a bit before I have the cash to rebuild it and get the rest of the parts but I will keep everyone updated so hopefully it will someone else out in the future....
  12. Next paycheck will get a dtt assasin on the way!
  13. Ha I guess that’s my bad because maintenance records said it was a ddrp but I never looked very close at it.
  14. @SilverMoose how do I get this aluminum plate off?? Well guys apparently the lift pump has been replaced since the Fass was on there because this pump looks nothing like the other Ddrp pumps. There was a number on the outside that said e7153. I googled it and come too find out that it is a airtex lift pump!!! Now I’m not sure what to do! Has anyone had experience with these pumps? I defiantly think a new lift pump is in order. Here is a pic of this pump.
  15. I’m in the middle of doing so. Going to bed shortly I will continue tomorrow! Sure hope I can fix cuase it’s dumping snow right now!
  16. I’m not seeing where your talking about. Can you give a specific location? Thanks! Found them! So far I’m not seeing any disconnected lines but we’re working on it!
  17. I had it on feet and face this morning and I think it was working fine. I’ll check after work. I was working in that location last night. I’ll have a look after work.
  18. What about taking a air nozzle and blowing into them?
  19. I’ll do that. Seems weird it would all the sudden conk like that. I did notice that sometimes when I put it in the light wouldn’t come on until I released the clutch and started forward.... maybe that was a sign that it was goin out?
  20. My pump to filter hose looks pretty worn and cracked. I’ll problably replace them Ll with a big line and banjo fitting kitnif the pump ends up being ok
  21. Where is the connections? I’ll check those.
  22. Ok guys I honestly hate to start another thread but I have a serious problem. It is the dead of winter and my 4x4 won’t work! The engagement stick moves into place but no dash light or 4 wheel drive! I need to get this fixed ASAP! I used it last week so it worked fine then. Help?
  23. Obviously when I remove the lines from the lp fuel is gonna spill and likely run back in the hoses. Will it prime by itself when I’m done or will I need to bleed something?
