Adrenaline and RV275s
I'm curious how this setup would do together? My stocks are on the way out so I'm going to be getting new soon. I am going to try to go with an adrenaline I think. I took a Smarty on trade to unlock high idle and tried some tunes while I was at it. It had a lot of power but was pretty grabby down low. I also tried the Edge EZ and Juice with Attitude so I think its back to the quad. I don't want to go to big on injectors because my hp goals are already exceeded by the Qaud. Do rvs smoke much?

Marcus2000monster replied to Marcus2000monster's topic in 2nd Generation Dodge Reliability / PerformanceNo sports im not jumping on that wagon! Haha I’m going by your and mikes recommendations. So a set of 75s is best left at stock pop pressure? are rebuilt injectors from dap a good option?

2000 to 2002 Steering upgrade
Hen I’ll just get 75s I may even jump down to a 255 is that a custom size? Do you have a pic of the front end of your truck so I can see the tires?

2000 to 2002 Steering upgrade
I guess I’m not aware that 265/80/16 is a custom size? My dad has gotten 80k out of BFg rugged trails 4 sets in a row on his old 06 that he sold. He now has a 2017 Laramie one ton and the factory slicks are already wearing down fast.

Very very interesting. If you got 265s would you do 75 or 80/r16?

2000 to 2002 Steering upgrade
I like the fat tire ford part! Lol what is the weight of a 285? I’m thinking about going down to 265/75/16 on my next set which is gonna be soon.

2000 to 2002 Steering upgrade
Ok so I was thinking that the large number in tire size was the height! 265s would be narrower right?

Marcus2000monster replied to Marcus2000monster's topic in 2nd Generation Dodge Reliability / PerformanceOk. So what do you think about 75s on stock clutch? I know I’m going to slip it eventually but if I take it easy for a while...

50 hp Injectors
Marcus2000monster replied to Marcus2000monster's topic in 2nd Generation Dodge Reliability / PerformanceI thought that once you went over 75s you did not receive any mpg gain? Does the quad tuning alleviate that myth or what? I think I'm going to have DAP set my pressures at 320. IS that a good pressure for injectors tht small?

2000 to 2002 Steering upgrade
Does your truck wander? I have 285/75/16s what do you have? My steering wanders and pulls all over and I get tired of putting so much constant pressure on the wheel trying to keep it straight. I didn't think 285s were that big considering stock size of 265s. ANother advantage of the upgrade is you get a solid 1.5 inch tie rod which will help eliminate wander. Mike not to be a smart a** but not all of us like the look of small tires and a low to ground truck haha. I'm not a fan of big lift kits but a 1 inch level kit and some 285s are my style. being that these trucks are known for there steering I'm curious how you got your front end to last so long? You must have small tires and stock height?

2000 to 2002 Steering upgrade
Hello guys I'm not sure if this has been discussed on this forum before or not. I am considering a steering upgrade for my 2000 Ram 2500. This thread is too help anyone out if they ever want to try this to. Id like to know if anyone else here has done this specific kit ill mention? The kit is from a 4th gen truck and was made specificly for upgrading third gens steering. SOmeone on Cummins Forum bought this kit for a second gen and found out that it was a awesome bolt on upgrade for second gen trucks to! Now I read that trucks with stock 16 inch wheels the stud on the end of the tie rods will hit the wheel so you have to grind off an eighth of an inch or so. I don't believe this works for 98 and 99 trucks but correct me if I'm wrong. Anyways the part # for the kit is #51122362af and that's a mopar part number. Hopefully I can try this upgrade soon but in the meantime id like to find out more about it and possibly create an article when I'm done to help others. I think you can get this kit straight from the dealer for around 350$ which is a very fair price if the upgrade is as good as mentioned. Everyone knows that our steering kind of sucks. I think that big tires and leveling kits make it worse too. This converts the steering to a t style instead of the factory y style steering.

50 hp Injectors
Marcus2000monster replied to Marcus2000monster's topic in 2nd Generation Dodge Reliability / PerformanceTrying to decide if I should go with a set of remanned rv275s or a brand new set of 75s or 50s. Whats your suggestions guys? 40s 50s 75s? I am aware that I may slip my clutch soon but idk if jumping from 50s to 75s will make a difference in that? I'm looking at the valair single disc 500 hp clutch. They claim theyre a good towing and daily clutch. thoughts?

50 hp Injectors
Marcus2000monster replied to Marcus2000monster's topic in 2nd Generation Dodge Reliability / Performancehaha yea. I may end up going with an XZT though. I'm strapped for cash and I don't want more than 100 to 120 extra hp but well see. Iv heard the xzt has better timing control than the ez. I will def be doing injectors first.

50 hp Injectors
Marcus2000monster replied to Marcus2000monster's topic in 2nd Generation Dodge Reliability / PerformanceI think I should be ok too. Would you recommend brand new genuine rv275s or DAPS 7x0.008 50 hp vco injectors? I think my injectors are finally going south.

50 hp Injectors
I’m curious if my stock clutch will hold a set of DAP 7x0.008 50 hp vco injectors and a 65 hp tuner?
