Chrysler gas engines
On my wife's side of the family, we live in her Grand parent's house, the list is long for the Chrysler power plants Her gran pap was a volunteer fireman, so he always had something with a hemi, 440, 383, & always a Desoto until they quit making them. Had to get to the fire quick. I head stories of my wife's brothers leaving their bikes in the driveway that got run over. ` One of my wife's first cars was a 67 Fury station wagon with a 383 4 barrel. She used to blow the doors off of Camaro's & Mustang's. My first Dodge truck, 76, had a 225 with a converted 3 on the floor & a glass pac. I welded in patches, man what a bondo buggy. Also had an 89 Dakota with a 4 cylinder 5-speed. I also have an 86 Dodge Shelby Charger that I bought new, 2.2 turbo, 5 speed. with only 14,000 original miles, that is covered up in my back garage. When I first met my wife, her & her younger sis had Dodge Darts with slant sixes in them. They were called the Dart sisters. I always wanted a 68 dart with a 340 six-pac, 4-speed....................someday................after I win the lottery....................yeah, right............... :D Dave

Fog Lights in a Sport 3500
Russ,So Geno's Garage would be a good place to get a fog light kit for a sport 98 model. Ive seen them in the LCM catalog, but that is for a sport year starting 99. Don't know if the difference is in the mount bracket of size. Thanks for all the great info guys!Dave

Making my bed removable again
I think I'd keep that "D" ring in the bed. An excellent tie down. At my NAPA store they have plugs, but have not looked for one that size/shape. Dave

fuel pump issues
M73M,I checked out your youtube stuff. Really cool! I will have to check out all the other stuff thats on Youtube that you put in your favorites! The Fass DDRP would be good enough for running Bio fuel. It should have a gear & not a vane pump, but the vane will work.Isn't a 19-20 pressure idle a little high for the IP? How come you never got interested in making Biodiesel?Dave

Anyone making Biodiesel
Went to a 2day biodiesel crash course last month getting my stuff together foe my processor. Trying to find methanol locally to help keep the cost down some.Anyone on this site making any? ;) Dave

Best replacement headlamp bulb
The reason I'm asking is because I've been seeing commercials for the Phillips & Sylvania replacement bulbs, maybe on the Speed Channel. I know they are only 55W but the are supposed to be brighter with a better light pattern.Maybe I'll have to go to the JCW site & order some 100Wers. My truck sits raked up in the back so I don't think the eye blinding would be an issue. Mater of fact when I run on high beams that where my lows should be, at least judging by my other vehicles light pattern. Dave

Fog Lights in a Sport 3500
What are you running for regular driving lights? Are they anything better than stock?Dave :D

Fog Lights in a Sport 3500
At this point something is better than nothing. If a newer vehicle is following close behind me, I can see with their lights better than mine! So don't go with more than a 35w bulb in the factory location is the point, right? :nono

Best replacement headlamp bulb
OK my night driving with my stock bulbs are not good. I want to put a fog light in my factory port but until I get around to making brackets, what's the best bang for the buck as far as replacement bulbs. on a Civic I had I went with a Blue type bulb but only lasted 6 months at about 30 bucks a pop. (Sorry for the bad pun!) Better light but I was told they ran too hot for the housing causing the short life span. :confused :confused Any of the upgraded Phillips or Sylvania as good as they're hyped up to be? Thanks,Dave

Fog Lights in a Sport 3500
Hi Russ,Thanks for posting the pic of your shy Road Runner. What did that have in it a 383 4 speed? Still have it?Dave

Fog Lights in a Sport 3500
You are right it does look awesome, but I have the front spoiler in the way. That's why I was looking to use the factory locations.. The trade off would be that in the summer I would lose the cooling ports!Dave :thumbsup

Fog Lights in a Sport 3500
I've been looking around for some time for some additional lighting. Anyone install aftermarkets in their Sport model. I;m not sure of the mounting. Looked at a non sport model, one that was on a lift, looks like there was a mounting place for a factory bracket. Any ideas? Thanks, Dave
