  1. Wait a minute, It's your birthday too?
  2. Can't be that bad, now... LOL.
  3. Any luck?I don't understand how disconnecting the harness would cause that problem, or if the parking or brake light switch would be tied into the PCM at all. You sure this started after disconnecting the harness from the PCM?
  4. Sorry, but what is he talking about when he says "gear"? Differential, tranmission? I know it's been a while but, dang... that's a lot of math.I never was good at math problem solving. Rather better with upfront numbers, no reading, too confusing. But, interesting. I'd like to figure this out on my truck as well, as it has larger wheels.
  5. Happy Birthday!
  6. Is there an upgrade kit available?Or do you just piece it together from other generations?
  7. So, did it change?I'm still at $3.229/GAL. I'm surprised it hasn't gone up, I remember when I first got the truck back in late October it was at $2.93 at Shell, where I usually pump at. Don't pump anything else.
  8. That is interesting though. I'll have to read up more on it when I'm more awake.
  9. I'm guessing we shouldn't be anywhere near tin foil when this appears...
  10. What's haarp, and why don't you like it?
  11. Awww, man... I was just about to post up my truck my pictures. LOL.
  12. It wasn't on there, but thanks. Very helpful link. --- Update to the previous post... Trans temp is also a must for me as well.
  13. Yes, it would. It would only make it that much better.
  14. Yes, thank you. I'd like to get a 3 gauge pillar, but I'd also hate to relocate the Quad.
  15. That is awesome! Wish I could make a mirror image of my truck for a large house too.
  16. Yeah, I don't hot rod the truck or anything. I drive it rather normal.I figure it oughta be cool enough by the time I stop and still allow another minute or so of extra cooling before shut down.Good enough for me.
  17. Exactly which one did you get? Perhaps you can lead me in the right direction.
  18. I had to think about that for a bit.
  19. My suggestion would be if you do use an analog voltmeter, test at your own risk. I wouldn't in a million years use one, but that's just me. There's only a few instances in which it would be appropriate to use an analog meter. I'm sure there's a reason behind it that I don't know of yet.Who knows...
  20. Yeah, I usually sit there for about a minute or two before shutting it off. No big deal.Different story if I would have to wait longer.
  21. DVOM's with 10 megohm impedance are recommended when testing low-current circuits. This is necessary to limit the effect the unit might have on the component or circuit being tested. From what I've been told, analog units when testing in parallel will cause a spike when removed, thus damaging the circuit integrity because of the lower impedance analogs have compared to digital metersThis is an example of why they install a spike suppressor, aka Diode or one-way check valve on A/C clutches. It absorbs or re-directs the spike from a collapsing magnetic field, such as when the clutch is switched off. This spike suppressor prevents damage to voltage sensitive components, ECM being the major one.I have yet to use an analog in anything I test for that reason. Except for 12 volt application, like exterior lights and such. Test light comes handy for that.
  22. I'd like to get one. The Quadzilla that came with the truck has this feature but doesn't work. I would go through the re-installation process of the Quad but, I don't feel like workin out in the cold anymore than I already have to at work.I bet it's awesome to have though.
  23. Anybody got a turbo timer installed on their truck to prevent from cooking the oil at shutdown? Don't really like having to sit there for a minute or two before shutting her down....or am I the only one doing this?
