A lot of people are starting to run re caps. I just don't know if I could trust them. I sure see a lot of road gators going down the highway. But then again technology has help in that area too.

Is out of adjustment bands usual what cause a auto to not shift out of 1st to 2nd? I have a buddy who's pickup does that, he has to stomp on the accelerator and then it pops (can't hear it just feel it) then it takes off and shifts normal. Any thoughts? I no little to nothing about autos. His is a 99 with 200,xxx . Rebuilt tranny with in 10k miles and has an upgraded TC (unknown brand). He just bought it after this was all done. Thank, Jerrod

@ the OP Why would they not fit? What have you read or heard that is leading you to this conclusion that they won't fit?

You should be able to attach them (its the paper clip icon to the right of the emoticons icon, when you are typing a new reply) or use photobucket and post the img code.

I try to get it changed right at 5k but sometimes I do go over. Like stated above its just habit.....:cookoo:Surprised to see so many folks waiting to change until over 7k though.. I guess that is due to oil bypass kits? Maybe synthetics?......

I honestly did too, you made me second guess my self so I had to reconfirm in the glove box that I had 3.55. It maybe shy of 2k @ 65 but not much. Then again the speedo could be off on mine with the slightly larger tire and wheel....

How are you running 2k at 65? That should be the question. I run a 265-70 R 17 street tires on 3rd gen aluminum wheels.

What gears are you running? Also the closer you can keep it to or below 2 grand RPM will help in mileage. At 2 grand I run about 65 mph with 355 gears

The old man and I took some polished aluminum diamond plate and made bug guards on the nose of the trailer and rock guards down low on the front of trailer underneath the over hang. I will try and get some pics to help explain what we did. Not very expensive and it looks real sharp running down the highway.
