John beware,This place is the epitome of mullet. We may look all business up front, but it's a big a$$ party in the back. J/K, I am a little sleep deprived, so anyway, welcome to the family. Just a little south of ya down here in KY.
2. I have two different size pulleys also, that may play a part in it also then.
3. Based on what your telling us, I really don't think there is anything else that would cause it. Easy resolve is to take out the answer/variable we are giving you. If you are rolling 30mph and put on the brakes in a consistent manner and you get oscillation, perform the same speed check, but do a complete roll stop, no braking at all and if it does not do it, its the rotors, if it does we need to search elsewhere. You may even be able to do it from a 15-20mph roll, if your cramped for an open area to roll stop on.
4. I finally got to watch the video posted. That is how I had my first belt, and it actually lasted the longest, but still only about 4k miles. I was told to tighten it up just a bit by DTT, so I did so and of course just replaced another one the other day. I need to get in there and check some things. I am sure there is a logical cause for it, I just have not had time to address it yet. Do you route through your filter housing before or after your pump and are you running two identical size cog pulleys? I still have to do a twin filter setup, thus I am running through my factory housing after the pump and it may be causing a little back pressure causing the crank to out run the pump when I gets romped on. I will get it figured out, luckily it is only a 7 dollar issue.
5. It only takes one good hard stop in the cold rain/snow to heat up & cool down rotors this warping them. You could probably have them turned and get em back to good though.
6. Interesting, I will say I have replaced a couple of belts ($7 each) on mine in roughly 6-7K miles, and if I drove hard it would be more frequent. I had to replace one the other day after letting a buddy borrow the truck so I can only assume he romped on it several times as he is a gear head too. I can only assume they are not top quality belts as they keep wearing prematurely and causing slippage. It could also be culmination of 4:10 gears, Nv4500, and quick torque making gear pulley 2 play catch up to gear pulley 1. I will have to look into some better belts. or bigger lugged pulleys.
7. You have a lot of variables that could be taking place. Since you have easy access to yours I would think the easy resolve is simply to pull the straw, cut it at an angle and that eliminates the suction to the bottom of the tank as your culprit and will make your system function better and as its supposed to. (I may have misunderstood, I thought I read you only cleaned up the improper cut to eliminate the reduction in ID, rather than cutting at an angle which is a small degree of angle by the way, 15*-30* depending on what you prefer, start small) If you still have the HOOT after that, then go see a doctor.....wait test for leaks. You could just pressurize the tank via the filler neck, just be careful as it does not take much to do it. Wrap a shop rag (clean one) around the blow gun connected to the air compressor and fill her up.
8. Dobie,How often do you change your belt out?
9. I would venture to say your not going to hurt the tube or the pumpkin by using a jack on it. I suppose you could catch the edge of pumpkin and bend the cover if you screwed up real bad, but not likely. Only bad thing about doing one side at a time is the possibility of knocking the first side off the stand while jacking up the second side. Its happened before. I personally would do it a little at a time till I got both sides as high as I wanted them, less of a chance to create a bad situation. I love my 4 ton jack, it has a super long handle and is a speedy lift like Mopars.
10. I am anxious to see this one. Obviously I am a fan of the mechanical pumps. Good luck.
11. Zack, I always throw out the option of the mechanical lift pump, do to the recent high failure rate of the new electronic pumps. I have a write up on my assassin pump here on the board. Good luck to you.
12. I agree with Dripley. From what your describing I would say the straw is indeed sticking to the tank. Have you noticed if it is "hooting" at you under full throttle, over large bumps, potholes. Randomly? I'm wondering if there is a catalyst for the hoot so to speak, perfect conditions if you will. What is the duration of the pressure loss?

I am big enough to say I was wrong. I take things for face value often and I noticed you made one post, with what appeared to be poor sentence structure, and no activity there after, appeared to me to be a forum troll/spammer. I couldn't care less the name or ethnicity, I just don't like the thought of someone attacking Mopars forum from within so to speak. I apologize and welcome to the forum. Glad to have a REAL person on the other end who is genuinely interested in the trucks. I have to agree with Jag though, where do you put a truck at in NY?

Hhhmmm... Do you have a bunch....of millions.... of dollars that you can provide me for a nominal exchange fee? Or am I way off base here? Yep I said it. Or just welcome to the site if I am wrong.
15. I carry my 4 ton in my tool box just in case..... Lol
16. I use a big 4 ton jack to put mine in the air, but only if I have to work on something suspension related. Otherwise it sets up plenty high enough for everything else. I got a good deal on my craftsman 4 ton, some guy bought it the day before from sears, took it home and completed his task to which he promptly returned it and I purchased it for 50% off. Good day.
17. Checking the other end being the point where it gets joined to another wire or the end of the other end? Either way, as stated it should be at battery voltage with the key on....Which reminds me to check my own again, its been awhile since I have done so. oops.:banghead:
18. The fabric feel is mindful of neoprene if your familiar with it. Closest thing I can think of anyway.
19. Those look great John. I was actually pretty surprised no one wanted to buy the ones I put up for sale. I may have to just use them after seeing yours.
20. I would assume it was for tapatalk. I like it, its easy to navigate, but I haven't quite figured out all the options just yet. ie making a new post. lol
21. Unless you saw the bird flying, I would just assume they enjoyed the beautiful music.
22. Agreed, that's why I keep pointing out that I have NON power mirrors and they just don't have as much backing behind the glass. Quality of the mirrors are fine. Lol
23. Agreed, and as I previously stated, My current truck is non power and the internals of the non power aftermarket mirrors lack a lot to be desired in the beef department. My 06 had no shake issues but they were power/heated and I know they have a lot more stuff going on behind the glass than my current ones do. Once it officially warms up some I may pull mine apart and address the weak inner support system, but for now, the sound deadening will suffice. It's a cheap and effective means to a desired end result.
24. BHAF is your best bet.
25. Since I hadn't posted a recent pic with the mirrors.
