  1. Welcome to the family. Yoda said it best with "Much learning about a cummins engine there is" however if you don't use the Yoda voice out loud or the one in your head your doing it wrong.
  2. I purchased my VP from Thoroughbred, had a good experience with them. Seems its hard to beat DAP. I am hoping to make it happen sometime this spring so I still have a while to dig around, find a used set, catch a sale, something. I appreciate the advice though . Seeing that Mike is going right back with another 35 tells me he really likes the setup he has and it works. I could run the sticks until gathering the dough for another snail if I still wanted one.
  3. Hopefully it will work out good for you. If there is anyone that a business doesn't want to cross, it's him, He could all but put someone out of business just by his word of mouth and the trust that follows it. IMO.
  4. Sorry for hijacking the thread. My trouble is not knowing which injectors I would like to go to. So many options, I already want to go bigger on the snail, but hate to lose the mileage. I use my truck, and want to setup a good towing truck, but have a fun truck at the same time. Never going to see the track. But will frequent the butt dyno often. Worst of all, it's all daydreaming till my wife and I sell our current house and buy another.
  5. All you guys doing bigger Injectors just keep twisting my arm a little further every time I read one of these posts. I will have to get some stix soon.
  6. I agree that on this subject at least Morgan is an idiot, but I think yelling, being disruptive, and just genuinely making an ___ out of ones self does not contribute to the cause. I am a 200% gun supporter, but I was so frustrated watching this guy waste the opportunity to make valid points and really put Morgan in his place, he did not accomplish that, but rather made the general gun public look worse. He had so many valuable points to make, and just repeatedly lashed out instead of just being composed and doing it right as Jesse Ventura did.
  7. I had considered just lifting the box this time, Seems like it would be easier anyway. 4 bolts and a tank neck are much easier than all that work under the truck.
  8. I cannot believe I sat through all of that. It was a train wreck I couldn't look away from. I have sat and had numerous conversations with intelligent folks about guns vs no guns and not one of them have been like this. That was an atrocity of an opportunity to make valid pro gun points.
  9. Thanks,I figured that was probably going to be the case, but sometimes there are simple fixes that are often overlooked. I am still going to do a diagnosis before hand. I mostly just dread the thought of dropping the tank and changing it. Last time it had way to much fuel in it. LOL. Will have to siphon it out before hand this time. On a side note: Can you buy just the sending unit for these trucks, or is it a pump/sending unit assembly? Thanks again.
  10. I have not even began to locate my problem, but its pouring the rain so I thought I would get ideas from you guys in the meantime. I was working on my jeep down at a friends house last night, had about 3/8 tank of fuel and after sitting on a steep hill for a few minutes, both running and not. When I returned to my truck it was showing low fuel light and gauge was down past empty. I of course checked to make sure I had not had a leak or fuel line come off and I did indeed still have fuel. I thought it might have been just because of sitting on the hill, but the gauge remained below empty and light on for the entire 35 mile ride home, and I stopped to put about 10 more gallon of fuel in it just to ease my mind. I am hoping the sending unit came unplugged while I was dragging my trailer out of the field but like I said, its raining and I don't have a place to stay dry at the moment, Truck wont fit in the garage. lol. Any other ideas from you guys would be appreciated. No codes, no CEL. Just stopped. Thanks.
  11. Did you purchase it without it on a good deal or did you lose it? If you got a great deal on it then I think you will come out ok. If you lost it, then ........:banghead:
  12. Did you by chance check the coil packs?

I just can't compete with ISX's thoroughness on description. I do not drive my truck extensively however I do put it to work any chance I get. This first picture is from my trip to Texas where I picked up the car on the trailer and brought it back to Kentucky. Only thing that has changed at all is the tow mirrors that I put on as soon as I returned from the trip to Texas. So, Here is the truck all the same.
  14. Maybe I see things a little different than most do. I believe if your not working towards resolving the problem, you are the problem. There are a lot of folks out there that lost their jobs over the past few years, a lot of those have moved to working two jobs, downsizing where they needed to and making ends meet. Others haven't ever had a job and yet stand with both hands out waiting to be given everything they WANT. I again revert back to people becoming complacent and it only being about number one. If your gonna reach out your hand, it should be to help someone up. There are those struggling to do whatever they have to to take care of their family and there are those who have a family because the government pays more for each kid. I feel horrible for those that lost their jobs and are suffering because of the selfishness of others that haven't ever earned anything. I nor you can take care of everyone, but I refuse to voluntarily take care of those that aren't willing to try to take care of themselves. This is definitely not what the constitution meant. I think a lot of things need to change, no matter what party is in office. There is so much more, but I have wasted enough typing breath as I no more than you will make a singular difference in the performance of our government, and its about moral character and integrity. Two things a lot of people lack these days.
  15. Mike, Can you receive text with pics on the listed number? I have a picture of it to send to you. - - - Updated - - - Nevermind, I will get it on here. - - - Updated - - - Here you go. I am a member on a local site that had the same issue awhile back, I am friends with the owner of it and I will try to make contact with him to see if there was a fix or a problem for that matter.
  16. I did vote, as i see it. It didn't work the first 4 years, why not let someone else try. I could speculate and say it shouldn't be that hard to do whats right while serving as President, however, I am confident that its not the President alone that is the issue, its the government surrounding the President that fail to fix the issues. "by the people, for the people" my A$%.
  17. I received the warning today also, and then updated my mac and it didn't come back the this time.
  18. Unfortunately I think the country has gone a little too far the wrong direction and complacency along with apathy from the government and those that permit/request the government take care of them will prevent the rest of of from getting back to good until it all goes to absolute hell and WE have to start over.....and then I suppose WE can say we learned from our mistakes. I blame Someone. Soap box out.
  19. Glad you got it figured out, and that it is working out good now.
  20. I just stretched my regulator spring a little the other day, and now have 16 psi idle and still holding 20-21psi at the touch of skinny.
  21. There are no issues with the old pump wires as they are still intact in the tank for the fuel gauge. I didn't unhook any wires from the block mounted pump and I haven't had any codes thrown. There is a regulator used to prevent over 20 PSI. It can be adjusted somewhat to dial in pressure, but that is mostly done using different size pulleys. I don't think the complete kit is really that much higher than any other pump, especially since it comes with everything you need.
  22. I posted a full review of my Assassin Pump on here recently and on the cumminsforum also. I highly recommend it, I can say my pressure actually goes up when I hit the skinny pedal. something none of the electrical pumps do. Good luck.
  23. Hope everything is going good for ya and a speedy recovery is well on its way.
