Need a new radiator for my dodge

Recommended Posts

There is a long thread on TDR called G-plus radiator. It is a welded aluminum radiator listed on Ebay. Seems like it is offered in 3 or 4 row. Aluminum tanks. Not a bad price. Of course, made in china. There was another outfit that makes radiators, but I can't remember the name. You might check that thread out. It is currant, so you don't have to be a member to access.

When I replaced my original radiator I just went with what the local parts stores had, Murray I believe was the brand. It is a 2 core and fit good in the original mounts, Cools as good as the original and havnt had any issues in the last few years even with heavy towing and steep grades.  I think the original was a 3 core but 2 core is what mine came in , Probably not the amount of cores you can fit in the radiator but more the size of cores and the spacing. and it made sense to spend $200 vs. $600 too.

Take a photo copy of any life time warranty receipt and put it in the glove box of the vehicle and the original in a at home file.  I've done this over the years and no more "Where the heck did I put that receipt".

Plus laser receipts fadeout out over time

Still running the stock OEM. The biggest thing is keeping the pH level correct. This why your radiator tank gasket failed is the coolant turn corrosive and ate the rubber gasket on the tank head. As you'll see I've documented all my coolant flushes and still to this day the radiator is like brand new yet after 15 years and 350k miles.
