Ever had a seal this crooked actually seal for 6k miles?? The rubber was actually formed crooked from the heat and position.

When I installed the PS pump I must have hit it. This happened when the engine was rebuilt and a new PS pump went in.

Note: I had not touched the seal at this point. Just popped the center section out!

So what made you pull it out if it wasn't leaking ?

On your last dyno ...... What was your secondary turbo you were running ...... And what boost #'s.

when are you hitting the rollers with new injectors ?

I've got 8K on the motor now, so it started leaking a couple thousand ago.

Secondary is an industrial injection phatshaft 62/65/12.  Not sure about boost numbers. I was watching RPMs.

I still need to buy the injectors......

Going to "try" and get mine on the rollers sometime before Xmas. Then going to start a plan to build out to 1000 hp. Honestly don't think I'll make it (1000) and might not happen anyway $$$ .... But wife said "ok" ;)

have a similar Air setup now 63/71/14 over 475/96/1.25 hence asking boost.

Hope to make 650-700 ...... Then I'll see about new engine build ;)

Dude... you drive a lot!! haha  :burnout:

It's been intentional.... I'm trying to get miles on it so that I can switch to synthetic over Christmas! Currently been putting on close to 500 a week! :burnout:

1,000 is going to cost some money.... I wouldn't try that on a stock bottom end.

You've got a much looser exhaust side than I do. Elevation SUCKS

How much HP can a stock engine hold up to? All I got is ARP studs

From what I've seen the rods start to bend and break around 1,000. @ 900 you're pretty safe depending on how much torque you're making.

Keeping the head on usually requires studs and fire rings.

Sounds like I got nothing to worry about then, I was thinking some day 600-700hp would be nice.

700 is unlikely on a VP. With a HO VP it's unlikely you'll make it to 600. If your VP happens to go out look into a SO VP.

I've ridden and driven a 725hp 3rd gen... It's crazy when you can blow the back tires off at 50mph with 285/70/17. All it has are studs, twins (62/75), an 85% over cp3, 100hp injector tips, UDC tuning by me, and a south bend dual disc.

Also a VERY unreliable pump..... I think Industrial's dragon fire goes above 700, but again reliability sucks.

Used to be ....... supposedly much better now. 2 cents from what I have heard.
Problem has always been getting in contact with Mike for issues. I run his transmission and its awesome ....... and he told me (not original purchaser) that if I ever broke a hardpart - he would replace it free of charge ...... pretty cool - but will see if it ever happens.

But to your point - a 700-1000hp VP is not for daily driving anyway :)  Not saying it cant be done .... but .....

I won't be the one to test that theory  Going snowmobiling and having the pump crap out in -20* weather wouldn't be much fun.

I can't imagine they're very fun to DD. Heck that one even has top feed injectors!

I think I'll be happy in the 600's. It's hard enough keeping the tires planted in the cold!

Yeah agree.

Actually if I shoot for high HP it will literally be a dyno deal. Ill change the secondary and the injectors to something larger ....... and dyno. Then revert to smaller injectors and secondary for DD.

Problem I think I will hit will be the primary however ...... s475 literature says will get to over 900HP ..... but seems most step up to a s480+ .......

I think you could with a CR, but given the limitations of the P7100 stepping up to a larger primary would probably make it easier.
