Teardown and Rebuild

Well it's not full throttle (only around 35psi of boost in the video) and it's really bad just letting off the clutch from a stop. The mount looked fine when I put it back together?? Maybe a bolt fell out or something. Thanks guys!

Can someone get me that picture though? I'd like to make sure the engine is seated down in the mounts.

Okay so it does sit "up" compared to the passenger side. Thanks!

How about the transmission mount? That's the one I'm thinking of.

It seemed fine when I was under there this past weekend, but I'll have to get under there and really check the bolts.

it can look fine and still be torn. jack the rear of the t-case up and see if it separates.

i'll try and explain why i think it's the t-case mount.

is the video it's moving forward. kinda like what axle wrap would do. so the rear of the t-case is lifting.

if the handle was moving side to side i'd say it was the engine mount.

does that make sense.?

Here's a couple shots. First of passenger side 2nd of drive side. I'm Also leaning toward the transmission mount. Mine is a few hundred ponies well below yours! Mine had a cracked "ear" where it bolts to the case and was moving almost as much as yours when I dipped into the skinny pedal while towing.

Yes it does! It's also dipping down when I downshift, so likely that mount is blown out. I just finished up finals yesterday and will be home to check it out today or tomorrow.

Also just rolled over to 10k. Time for an oil change... switching to synthetic!

The professor was awesome! Very smart lawyer who owns his own law firm. The classes were very interesting as well. He put dumb people in their place when they made comments like "Prisoners should be allowed to vote." BUT the essays were horrible and the final was extremely long with multiple pages of writing and over 50 questions.

Got a 2 post lift put in for my dad this weekend.... that'll be nice to work on the truck.

Bumper is supposed to show up today, so I'll have to get on that asap. I'll try and take pictures if anyone is interested in a writeup. I plan on tacking it all together on the truck, then pulling it off and doing the finish welding. From there I'll prime it with an epoxy primer then shoot it with the same rhino lining that's on my rocker panels.

I haven't had a chance to get under it and find out what's going on with the trans mount. Hoping to pull the driveshaft and get it balanced as well. So much to do and so little time. :shifty:

Take lots of pictures I'm definitely interested in a write up. I have a pile of steel, a welder and plenty of time since I'm laid off right now so if you don't mind I might steal some of your design and build my own.

I second the need for a ton of pictures and a write up.
