So I’m trying to understand the tow haul mode on my soon new to me truck. Ho asin. 3500. How low will it go in miles per hour before the braking stops 20 ? 30? Miles per hour. Please explain how it works thanks

160k miles on it. G56, RaceMe Tuner, deleted. Truck has newish Bosch injectors (OE), 5" exhaust, stock airbox, deleted egr/dpf, etc. Recently, it's developed this issue of falling on it's face when hooked up to something (dump trailer, hay wagon, etc). It does it empty, or not. I have Alfa OBD, and hooked up, and I see the following: No codes that I find. When it falls on it's face, it dings and I get the 'see dealer now' message.. After about 5 secs, it picks up where it left off and drives normal.. then it may/may not do it again.. Fuel filter changed, newish in-tank pump.. crap, wrong section of forum..

I thought I did the right thing picking up a pre DEF 2011, but after a failed EGT sensor sidelined my new (to me) 4th Gen I started doing some reading. Some of the forums say the DEF trucks (2013+) are much better for the engine than the pre DEF trucks. Is this true, if so, what are my options to ensure my pre DEF truck make it to 250-300K miles.

Hey Guys. I’m debating on what I want to do here I have a 2013 2500 outdoorsman that I want to put some better seats in. I saw on some other sites that they used the corbeaus lg1 and they said they fit but I would like to keep my power seat on the driver side if possible. My other option would be to do an air ride seat but I haven’t really found much information on if they would even fit with how tall they would be. Im open to any recommendations as well if anyone else has tried doing something like this or found better seats anywhere else.

Guys, about to order a stock/475 setup for my 2011. Fully tuned/deleted with GDP grid heater relocate. My truck only has 70,000 miles, been meticulously maintained. Pretty much all deleted miles. Considering 60% over nozzles just based on reading what others on the forum have done. Not looking for huge power, mainly interested in better towing, reliability, longevity. The trans is a built G56. With only 70K on the stock injectors I’m wondering y’all’s opinion on just doing nozzles. Would be a lot less expensive obviously.

So I'm in the market for a new truck and my question is that my neighbor runs a 2011 Cummins with around 200k miles BUT he takes very very good care of his truck (it is his office so I don't blame him) and he is willing to sell it too me for a decent price around $23k I also found a 2012 6.7 powerstroke with 60k miles and it's priced at 33k. I'm just not sure which truck is going to be the most reliable. I do tow a large boat for half the year and I have a 25' flatdeck trailer that I don't haul as much any more but still use occasionally. What would you guys go with???

2016 Ram 3500 mega cab SRW 6.7 cummins . So I recently completed the EGR and DPF delete. I also installed the Ezlink tuner as well as a S&B cold air intake. Also installed the EGT solution kit that relocates the EGT sensor to cylinder 6 on back of manifold. I had download several tunes and trying them out. I use the truck as a daily driver as well as towing my 43’ fifth wheel. I have a 460 mile drive every Thursday and Sunday. I tried the different tunes along this route looking for best fuel economy. Naturally the 150hp tune gave the best results. All was good for about 2 trips then it started running ruff when I would kick it down and pass cars. It almost felt like …

Is anyone here familiar with the Open Country AT II Toyo Truck Tires? I need a new set of all-season tires for my 2016 RAM 2500 Laramie that not just good for highway use but on different road conditions such as mud and snow. I am torn between the Open Country AT II tires and the BF Goodrich KO2 tires.

  9. I have a 2010 Dodge Ram 2500 6.7L 6 speed trans all stock. I got a code p0191 for fuel performance code I cleared it and it takes weeks to a month if it comes on again. It only came on twice and has been off for weeks now truck runs great ehat should fuel rail pressure be at an idle. Could idling a long time cause this using remote start a lot I doubt it could but looking for ideas and are most people fixing this code with software updates the sensor is expensive and if it ran rough or something it would be easier to track down . Thanks

Hello everyone,, I am looking for a stock 3rd gen cummins ram truck. I am looking for a 4 door, 4x4, manual. I will be towing a 5th wheel or travel trailer on vacations. I am looking for the best year for the 2500/3500. Any input would be great. Thanks

  14. My coworker recently blew the front diff in his '11 Laramie Longhorn, out of warranty. So he finds one from a 2010 1500 Sport, drives 4 hours each way and spends $500 on it. Dropped it off at the transmission shop and turns out it is completely different. He ended up finding the correct one and got it fixed, but now the seller won't return his emails/calls so he wants to sell it but needs to know what trucks it'll fit to prevent the same mixup. Here's a pic of both of them. The one on the left is from the 2010 Sport, right is from his '11 Longhorn. My '11 Sport has the same as his. All are 3.55's. Can someone tell me what changed and when?…

I'm working on a 2018 ram 2500 this weekend, truck is lifted with 37's but drivetrain is all stock except for an MBRP DPF back exhaust with 57k miles. Owner recently noticed a severe lack of power and it makes very little boost. I took it for a quick drive and with the pedal stuck on the floor it was like a pleasant sunday drive. The truck will still get up to speed and maintain it but takes forever to get there. I didn't notice any smoke from the tail pipe. It has an engine light on but I went to look at the shocks, so I didn't bring my scan tool. He's bringing it over sunday so I can take a better look and see what the light is about. I'm wondering if these sympt…

  19. Hello everyone,, I'm new to diesel trucks but looking to buy an F350 to haul my camper while I travel full time. I just put money down on a 2014 F350 dually and the dealer mentioned that it is deleted. I've only just researched enough to even know what this means, and haven't had the truck inspected by a mechanic yet. Is it safe/legal/a good idea to buy a deleted truck? Is the dealership that's selling it legit for doing so? What things do I need to know about dpf deletes in general as a diesel newbie, and what questions should I be asking the salesman and the mechanic? Thank you for any advice you guys have!

I just pulled in from my 11 hour drive from Chattanooga with 15k in tow. I have found that the truck bounces in a resonance when on a poorly paved interstate while under throttle, no issue when coasting. If I let off it stops, back on and it starts again. Slow down to about 35-40 and it goes away, not really feasible on a 70mph interstate as the bad surface may go on for miles. The best way to describe it is feeling like the shocks are completely gone, but it only does it on very specific buckling highway. I can hit large bumps and bridges, and no bounce or anything consistent with bad shocks. The speed at which it happens is based off how far apart the buckles are,…
