I have an 03 Cummins that was originally a Canadian truck and I have drove other 03's and my WTS light seemed to not be staying on for the right amount of time, it comes right on and stays on for about 4 dings the truck makes when you first turn the key and will start right up. Now the temperatures are starting to drop and when I went to start my truck the other morning it was about 42 degrees F but it is still only staying on for 4 dings and it still starts up but I know that it should stay on longer than that with it being cold because when it was 92 degrees out it was staying on for 4 dings so I know that with it being 42 degrees it should be staying on longer so what …

Well my reliability factor just dropped to a new low this morning. Went to go start the 05 this morning which has sat for a few weeks turned on the key and got nothing but a lot of clicking from all over the pickup, new the inevitable had finally come. 11+ years and close to 130K on OEM batteries and they were down to 10v each, didn't even bother to charge them i knew they were getting a bit week the last 2 years already, went to town for a new set if Interstates, had to lower my standards and open my wallet for that one but it was too late in the day for my normal parts house of choice, sometimes one just has to swallow hard and hope for the best.

Can someone confirm what the part number is for the secondary turbo drain below oil filter on a 07 5.9 is. Dodge doesn't have a clue when I went in and have none on hand to compare, thinking maybe 04429958. Stopped at a cummins dealer and they didn't have any on hand but thought it was 3920706. Thanks

I know it's already been stated, but my buddy just went through 2 sets of 50hp aftermarket injectors on his 2007 5.9, from a shop in Tennesse. Finally, the 3rd time he got genuine bosch bodies from BD in Canada and the truck is running fine now, and thousands of dollars later. Bosch bodies only...

I been thinking this for a while until I came in from 250 mile trip. It now has a slight miss, nothing eng shaking but a pop to the exhaust. It is stock for the most part. Have not done anything to it but service it. It sets in the garage for the most part, only has 60k on it. My first thought is injectors, which it does roll black smoke when you get into it. The only other think I can come up with is valve adjustment. But if its making a slight pop it would suggest a tight valve which would mean valve sinking into the seat. Any thoughts? Thanks

Not sure if this is the right place for this but I'll give it a shot and this just started a few days ago. First of all it is a 2004.5 Ram 3500, 5.9L HO with a Fass lift pump. When I turn the key in the ignition to the "run" position the pump (Fass) now runs about 25 seconds, when it used to run about a second or 2. It is also very loud.I can start the truck anytime during this 25 second run-up and then the pump will continue to run and stay very loud after start-up. If I let the pump run until it shuts off I can start the truck and the pump will not be running...initially. Then it will sporadically go on and off (again quite loud) but if I hit the accelerator as soon as …

Hey guys, My dad has an 03 2500 ext cab lb with a hemi, yuck! lol anyway, he was asking me if I knew anything about what fluid he needs for his diffs. I only know what I read over on CF and that is that it should have an AAM axle with gear driven limited slip, if it even is limited slip, and so should not need any LS additive. He said he could find any identifying info on the axle sonintold him to ask the dealer. He did and they told him his truck does have a LS rear and that he does need fluid with LS additive. Does that sound right? I though all 3rd gens have AAM axles which have gear driven LS and so don't need the additive? They didn't tell home what axle he has…

i now know why every ones loves rowing gears. my 6.7 pulls SO much harder then my 04. now my 04 is no slouch. it'll embarrass some popular sports cars. but this 6.7 w/G56 is a beast. the turbo spools later then i'd like but it amazing to hook up the flat bed and tractor and chug up a hill. awesome. awesome awesome.

I`m coming up on a routine service interval, and I`m thinking its time to flush and replace the power steering fluid. From past experience I have removed the high pressure line, started the vehicle, and had someone turn the wheel side to side a few times until air started coming out. I`m wondering if anyone has a better method? Also, What about fluid? Anyone try any high mileage fluids with seal conditioners? or just strait PS fluid?

ok i just purchased an 08 2500 mega, manual, i'm going to redelete the truck. you can see they just threw the cat dpf stuff back in. so i want it gone. but i can't find what to get.. one site says 04.5-09, in the title then the description says 04.5-07... https://www.alligatorperformance.com...-dodge-cummins will this work? what do i need to do for the computer side? i'm also looking into the EGR delete seems every one goes with sinister. so i might as well jump on that wagon. again what computer mods need be done. i don't want or need more power. i'm not opposed to gauges and i read that H&S closed doors? is this correct? so i'm not able to see what d…

Well the wife found our "unicorn" truck, Mega cab, Manual. and it's even in blue. it's not as clean as i'd hoped it was for only 58K miles. has some hail damage, some small body damage. power seats don't work in all positions. just forward and back. truck runs strong. shifts great. G56. i know they are asking WAY to much. but it has the options we are after. dual climate control. heated seats and a 6 speed trans. http://courtesyautosales.net/2006-Dodge-Ram2500/Used-Truck/Cottonwood-AZ/7831623/Details.aspx It's a single owner truck came from MA to AZ about 6 years ago. some slight rust on unprotected metal, nothing to concerning to me. i …

My 05 is still doing ok I guess as long as I dont pull with it, but there will come a point when I start using it more. When I first got it 2012 it had 32k on it and burnt fluid, I flushed it several times, put deep pan on and replaced pressure switch and larger solenoid, adjust bands. Just dont trust it, who makes a good auto trans? The most power I plan to do is maybe 75 hp injectors.

Have had the issue of my brake lites staying on when the engine was hot in warm weather. Has been going on for about 3 years or more and I always thought it was due to a misadjusted or sticky switch. I even had intermittent cruise control kicking out on its own so I thought this was the problem. Tried to adjust switch @ brake pedal but there is really no adjustment on a 3rd gen other than maybe bend the bracket which is really thick. Long story short I always had to pull upon the brake pedal when I shut the pickup off to get the lites to go out just became a habit but when my wife and I go to the water she does the trailering and I am on the boat and have to h…

Time to get a head start on what's coming down the pipe for new diesel oils again with the introduction of PC-11 oils. Forget CJ4 now we have 2 more designations coming for 2017 and newer diesel engines and the other is backwards compatible. http://www.forconstructionpros.com/article/12151385/new-pc-11-diesel-oil-update-what-to-know-with-one-year-to-go

I'm curious if this radiator support cross brace has to be removed to remove the engine? If so how do you remove this cross brace? I've got the 8 bolts already lose in the picture. When I remove then the brace will slide a bit both ways but not enough to remove it.
