I've got a 2006 Dodge ram here with some very strange issues electrically. All stems around the headlights and turn signals and the multi-function switch. If you turn the right turn on it actually does light the right turn signal. Now turn on the left and the right is flashing. Turn on the hazards and only the right is flashing. Now turn on the head light there is zero headlight but markers and fog lamps. Try hi or lo beam it will flash for a brief moment but turn on the wipers and spray the windshield. Can't get hi wipers at all only lo. Now what did I do so far... Changed the multi-function switch - Same issue Pulled my 2006 Dodge TIPM and swapped i…

Hello again fellas! i have a issue ive been working on trying to solve for some time now, and I'm to the point where i don't know what else to do or try? I refuse to take to dealership or mechanic to get them to asses or fix it.nothing personal i just enjoy working/ fixing/tearing my own truck. My 04 ram 3500 DRW 4x4 has had slack in the steering for a while. I say that as im driving down the road it feels as if my tires will just dart in opposite directs like every 5 seconds, I'm consistently having to over correct the wheel to keep it somewhat straight, but its impossible? Im surprised I haven't been called in as a DWI suspect! i've put new mastercraft Courser MTX tire…

At my work we have a brand new mopar under hood fuse box for a 3rd gen cummins. We ordered it for a customer who ended up not needing it and we are unable to return it. It's the big L shaped box with a knob in the middle. My boss would rather not write it off and let me pirate fuses and relays from it. He's not terribly picky about the price but would rather get something for it as opposed to nothing. I told him I would ask here if anyone was interested. If anyone is interested and would like more info I can get some pics of it on tuesday.

So I got my truck back together after 1/2 a yr.. But I get this U0151 (Lost Communication with Restraints Control (RCM) Module) I tried MODIS, and AlfaOBD and cannot connect to it. Tried following some troubleshooting tips on obd-codes.com, to no avail.. I am mechanically and 12V electrically inclined, but the troubleshooting tips made not much sense.. Anyone here seen this issue/fixed this issue, or have any guidance? The Airbag light is on, and I cannot get the truck state-safety inspected until it's fixed.. Thank you. I've seen a few 3G trucks with coolant bottle in the RR of the bay (pass side firewall) and washer fluid in the LF. My 07.5 has the combo bottle in the LF. What denotes the other (separated design) layout vs the combination tank? I ask, because I'd like to separate mine, due to some PTO pump clearances I'm looking to add. If one of you know what particular denotation the separated tanks are (or hell, even PNs), I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm looking to go this separated tank layout. Regards,

I've read that these are actually 3/4 ton trucks. Having said that I found one for sale that I'm going to check out soon. How can I inspect the truck to tell if it's actually a 3/4 ton or a 1/2 ton? I've heard you can count the lugs on the wheels and look at the axles and suspension but I'm not sure exactly what to look for. I meant 3rd gen. The 06-08 models.

Buddy has a 2004 - 2500 Cummins that will not make more than 28 lbs. boost. Tried plugging the wastegate (turbo is a 64 - 68 - 14) tried 2 different boost foolers, & a 20 lb. pressure test for boost leaks. Still won't go past 28. The only thing that I can find is the his MAF sensor is just plugged in & hanging there. There is no air box. Also there are no codes. We checked the MAP sensor & it is clean & not setting any codes. He says it made more boost even with it not installed before. Any ideas what else it might be? It also has a old BD fueling box with 3 settings & they don't even make a difference. Fuel mileage is way down to. He is getting t…

HellI I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 3500 with the 5.9 Cummins. This truck is stock at the moment except I do have a smarty touch on it. This truck has 240000 I bought it with 218000 about a year ago with a bad transmission. I don’t know much history on it but I imagine it has the original injectors. It has a 3” lift with 35’s in stock 17” wheels. The gas mileage is horrible like 10.5-12mpg doesn’t matter how I drive it. It seems to get worse with highway driving. I just drove from California to Georgia to Colorado and back to California I was only getting 11mpg on average. Before anyone says anything this was hand calculated not from the lieometer. I’m only getting 370 miles or…

What's you guys' thoughts on brands, Curt vs B&W? They both seem to have same class weight (7500TW, 30K Total). the B&W looks to be built a little heavier, but I've never laid physical eyes on a Curt setup, so I can't really speak to them. From what I'm seeing, the Curt is about 75-100$ cheaper, on average. Thoughts?

Overhead display shows 99.9 miles per gallon every time I start the truck. While driving it settles in around 15 to 20 Mpg. When I accelerate fuel mileage goes up to as much as 22 Mpg, when I am going downhill at 0% throttle mileage decreases to 4-6 MPG.. again increase mileage under hard acceleration decreased mileage when decelerating or going downhill.

Hey, guys. I picked up an 07.5 dually. I'm in need of a few items, so thought I'd pop it up here, too. I need 2 17" dually wheels (steel), and an air filter assembly (they were missing when I got the truck).. IIRC, @MnTom ran a BHAF on 3gen truck.. Can this also be an option for the 6.7L? Anyone got info or pics on this? THanks.. Also, if you know of some dually wheels laying around, LMK. Like I said, I need 2. I can't seem to find any on CL or forums (chevy or dodge.. i find a ton of ford crap.)

So, working on my problem child again.. 2008 MC 3500 SRW 6.7L 6MT 4WD.. Original tcase took a dump, due to a randomly-engaging 4wd motor. Truck has 150k / 6400hrs on it currently. Rebuilt the 273D tcase, replaced all gears, seals, bearings, chain, bushings, etc. shafts were fine. 7 moths later, it **** the bed, with the motor trying to engage 4WD randomly, regardless of speed; switch in 2WD position. Tried sourcing a local 271D and convert to manual shift. Couldn't find a 271D but found a 271F. VERY minimal differences in the two, with one being shift pattern and the other being the output flange/shaft. rebuilt 271F using the D's shaft. Installed manua…

My Mom ask me if i could check out her truck its a 2005 with an birddog fuel pump straight pipe. It use to have an edge but took it off because it started causing problems. I read Mopars Article on the P2149 code and was wondering if there was a wiring harness map for the truck. The other 3 codes i was wondering if they may be in conjunction with each other? Im thinking a bad MAP sensor but not for sure, let me know what you guys think.

Any of you 3G truck owners run LED headlight bulbs? If so, what's your recommendation, as to brands,, etc? I put new headlight housings in my 07, but the new halogen 55/60s just seem dull, still. I put Win Power H7s in my wife's GLK350 and they are insanely good in those housings.. Perfect OEM beam, and bright enough to make flowers bloom at midnight But hers are single beams, whereas the 9008/H13 are dual beam. Interwebs says Morimotos, but I'm not dropping $140 on a pair of bulbs, no way - no how.
