This is my first post on here guys, I’m in dire need of your help. 8 days ago I had a rebuilt transmission with a shift kit and triple disc converter put in the truck; a mile into the test drive all gauges were lost. Inline Performance figured out that it was a bad PCM and put a new one in it. Today I had to run home for something and left the truck running in the driveway for no more than 10 minutes. When I came back out, no gauges we’re working but the tach, the odometer is reading No Bus and the transmission won’t shift out of 3rd unless manually done. Please give me ideas, I feel my case is different than a lot of other no bus threads on here seeing as I …

My truck had an intake and 4" exhaust on it when I got it so my next step is gauges. Gonna go with Isspro ev2 boost, pyro, and fuel pressure but I'm not sure on the ranges I should go with. Boost I'm thinking 0-40 psi since my turbo is stock and I have no plans to upgrade. Pyro seems like 0-1600 is standard. Fuel pressure is where I'm unsure. I know I don't want the pressure getting too low, but what is the high end of where a stock fuel system runs? Also, will that change if/when I get a FASS/Airdog installed? Thanks!

Just wondering if anyone has used these gauges? I just received fuel and egt gauges. They seem like nice gauges, they have a high and low warning light and they are not overly expensive.

Having a noise becoming apparent only when in drive and putting my foot down.. Sounds from drivers side but could be playing tricks on me. I know the difference between the turbos whistle and this is defiantly a new one. I can't pin point. Any ideas guys? Not sure if its something gone bad.. Just know I gotta get this solved. Added a video: or at least ill try.. sorry, best audio I could come up with. This is with the AC off and radio off.trim.EdAwki.MOV

Well I have finally came up with a solution for the dreaded torque management that has plagued us 2nd gen owners for decades, and best of all its free. It all happened by accident actually. I opened up my trans due to some funny shifting issues and found every screen inside it was full of metal shavings. Which obviously meant that they got past the filter but more on this later. I cleaned all the solenoids and sensors of the metal and the little screens that protected them along with installing a new filter and fluid. Everything was good for about 2 weeks then all of a sudden after i left a drive thu i lost all forward gears. I messed around with it for a little while (li…

after my fuel life thread kinda turned into a fuel filter thread, i thought i would just ask what is best.my set up;AD II 165 with AD filters, run to the stock fuel canister, vulcan bif line kit to the vp.i am currently running the stock filters on the AD and the filter in the stock fuel canister is what ever i bought last. it seems the filter in the stock fuel canister no matter where you buy it is the same. in other words i do not have a clue as how good it is. My AD has a WS100 and a ff100-2. i need to order some replacements. thru all the discussions i am not sure which way to go. AH you are the man on filters which ones should i be using. As a father who has one son …

Hey everyone, I have been playing with my 47re with my pacbrake. I'm starting to wonder what is a good healthy line pressure when engine braking. Right now I'm seeing 80-85psi at idle in drive, and driving down the road were about 110 with my foot out of the throttle. In the throttle I'm seeing about 125psi. When I'm engine braking I see about 115psi going from 2,000 to 1,250rpm. When I'm downshifting and in 3rd, I can move it to M2 and it will downshift at 32.5mph 1,250rpm. I have a lower stall torque converter and it seems to brake hard even on second. I was looking to see having the TC lock up when downsh…

Been thinking about different oils lately since i was dealing with my skid steer and all... What about running an 0w40 oil in these trucks? I've always wondered what 15w40 was doing to my truck in dead winter startups and it not being plugged in...

I recently replaced my VP44 and installed an Airdog 150. I started with the bigger spring because I wanted more than 15 psi, but I was getting 20 - 21. I changed the spring and now I have 19-20 psi. This seems a little high to me. Any suggestions on adjusting it? Also the only port for the gauge is on the pump. Is this ok? Before is was on the vp44 fitting.

I have a "minor" issue but figure I had better ask now before it gets worse. While travelling at very slow speeds through my neighborhood at the point where the trany shifts from 1st to 2nd it tends to jump back and forth from 1st to 2nd to 1st, and so on. Simply advancing or reducing the RPMs makes it quit. Any ideas? Tanks

On the HFRR chart, it shows the rating for the 2 stroke oil at 474 at a 200:1 ratio. That is not the ratio most of us run. Do we know the HFRR at 128:1? That would move it up the chart a few spots I bet... http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummins/general/2-cycle-oil/hfrr/hfrr.htm

What's everyone one using for a map sensor? My stock one maxes out at 40psi. I'm suspect that I'm making more boost than 40. I have the quadzilla BT gauges and dont want to run manual gauge.

Ok so I replaced my contacts in my starter a week ago when my truck wouldn't start that fixed that issue! Now tonight I went out to start it and I noticed that mt lift pump ran for only 3 to 5 seconds and then I waited for the to go out and it just cranks, and I get no codes. So I turned the key to the "off" position and then turned the key to the "on" position and this time the lift pump ran like it's supposed to for about 20 to 25 seconds, and the came back on and I waited for it to go out and tryed it again still just cranks with no codes:banghead:. Now iv'e only had the truck a year, and replaced the fuel filter twice and each time I bumped it like required but I h…

i have my block warmer on a timer. When it's really cold, go out and trip it back on. but i had to leave in an emergency, and it was -18.What happened was it cranked hard, (no big surprise there) and as soon as oil pressure came up, it kicked to 3 cyl idle. it skipped right over the 2 min normal idle and the 20-30 seconds of high idle. i hit the brake to stop it and it ran rough until the normal program kicked it back in.just thought i'd share that, because i didn't know it would do it that way.

So this is what is going on 2001 banks exhaust, hi ram,Quadzilla xzt, RV 275 injectors brand new Bosch, fass 95 big line,. Had code1693 never found out what it was it was getting a little slow to start sometime had dead pedal sometimes and stalled sometimes. Replaced vp44 industrial injection so. Starts great but seems to idle a little rough little. Today I had dead pedal. Oh and 1693 code is gone now fuel pressure is always 17,18. Seems a little down on power would it still run if I jumped a tooth on the new vp?

I did some more measuring and testing for the MPG crowd. Before I start I will say that I just verified my SGII and its right close to being on the money (off by 0.2 gallons). I'll assume that a slight error between the ScanGauge and the fuel pump. Now I my truck conditions are Edge set for 5x3, IAT fooled to 143*F, Engine coolant varied from 188*F to 197*F, winter fronts still on. Actual weather was high of 65*F (actual IAT was ~90-105*F) Now since I was on I-84 down in southern Idaho today I figure I open the beast up and let it fly low for once. So I set the cruise for 75 MPH and reset the current MPG counter and measure for about 20 miles of highway. I was p…
