The high idle kits are going to handed back to me for production. All future production of the Mopar1973Man.Com High Idle Kits will be produced right here in Idaho. As soon as I get all the parts and pieces from Ed Grafton (Yankneck696) I'll start producing them. So I know some of you are hoping for more to be produced and seeing DAP running out of the flat mount version. So hang in there more to come very very soon.

Mulcher flashed my ecm last summer and it must have included the high idle update. Temps have been near 20* last couple of nights and the high idle came one after a minute or so of starting. Running about 1,300 rpm. It's running on 6 cylinder high. I do not have the idle fooler mod.

O.K , Today I noticed that when i idled up engine around 1800-1900 i noticed a slight miss{ fuel knock}. When i fuel it up to 2000 and held it there steady it got worse, 2100+ was worse. Injection pump & AirDog Lift pump 3-MONTHS OLD, new DDP injectors 2-MONTHS OLD I almost think its water in fuel but i thought the AD water seperator takes care of that getting these codes: PCU 0500 ECU 0230 Anyone know what this ma be?? 4. Well gang... I know a bunch of you have either built your own high idle mod or purchased one through Prowelder or maybe another source. But I know a few of you have had some diagnostic problems in building or have had issues after installing. Well this little write up should walk you through most of it ad figure out what is going on. Ok let get down to tools... You'll need a DVM (Digital Volt Meter) set on ohms. Now lets start with the ECT fooler... Now with the female plug which is the plug that hooks to the ECM we want to measure the ohms at this plug with the fooler in the ON position. It should read 3.3K ohms. If its open check the other…

My high idle Mpg switch has worked great until today. If I put it on Mpg my iat temp on my scan gauge II reads -41 and I immediately geat a trouble code p0113. If I put it on high idle it does not high ldle anymore and the iat temp is -41 and a trouble the code p0118. what's going on here its not even been 2 years since I purchased the switch.

Ok, so I was playing with quadzilla (going through settings and such), and decided to try my high idle again. Every time I've tried it in the past, it would shut the truck down, then the truck wouldn't start for about a minute. It would repeat this until I turned the setting off. I tried again today just to see, setting it at 10 seconds, and the truck started to idle up, but then died again. What's going on?

Ed sent me a high idle switch for me to install into my overhead console, and do a write-up on it This is for guys that have no where else to put it due to too many gauges, or in the rare case like Jigabop who has too many options :hehe: Ed extended the length of the wiring to allow for the wires to be run from the overhead console, under the headliner, down the A pillar, and into the engine bay. Whole install took about 2 hours. You will need - Drill - 2 1/8" whole saw - Smaller drill bit to drill the center ( 1/4" - 3/8" something small to ensure the center hole is in the right position) - Center Punch - Straight Edge/Ruler 1/16" - X Acto Knife - Wire cut…

Just got my high idle switch, super excited!! Couple questions due to other mods on the truck. Truck has 7x.011 SAC's and edge comp box. 3cyl High idle, is there any reason I should not use it every time I warm up my truck? MPG setting on the switch, is there any reason I shouldn't use it with my comp box and injectors that are around 100% over?

Totally stock right now, except airdog 100. Will the switch in MPG mode work if I have no idea if my 2001 has ever been programmed on for high idle? If I need "re-flashed" can quadzilla do this or only smarty or anything else. Last resort being the dealer? MPG...mine is two wheel drive. I keep reading about people saying they are getting well over 21 mpg. Best MPG I've ever gotten (since 2005), even using cruise control has been 18 1/2 (long hand, not overhead reading) With switch in MPG mode what's a good "guessimate" people have seen in MPG? Thanks

I recently got my high idle switch and so far install went easy everything seems to be of decent quality, however. It will kick on the 3cyl warmup when put in 6cyl mode and nothing happens in 3cyl mode. Any input? I watched a video on it and the IAT and ECT switch to the correct numbers and the led is the correct color but it doesn't do what it should be doing. Any help on this? Thanks @Mopar1973Man

So i got a 68 ohm resistor and plugged it into the iat plug, cold engine, I let it run 4 min. And nothing but the check engine light came on immediately. Is that normal for the light to come on. Did I do it right and my high idle is not enabled?

I have been looking around at all the million ways you can do this and I came up with another way that seems pretty spiffy. Here's what I have come up with. First off, in the cab you need 3 single pole single throw switches, which are the simplest form of a switch you can get. Here is a pic of one. You install all of those, and hook one side of each switch to a good ground inside the cab. Now run the other side of each switch all outside into the engine bay. One switch will fool the coolant, one switch will turn on high idle, and one will turn on 3 cyl idle. The positive side of each relay is "always on" positive, so you can jumper from one relay …

My 2000 2500 is going into 3 cylinder high idle even when its 80ºF out. I do have the high idle switches bit they are set so the truck is getting its true readings. Which sensor is causing this?

Went to dealer had my 1998.5 Dodge Cummins auto transmission flashed for 3 cylinder idle. Doesn’t work. Plugged in diagnostic tester. Air temp 10f, coolant 10f, speed 0, TPS 0%. Only other things to check is to ensure pickup is in park or neutral and brake is not on. It’s in park and the brake light aren’t on. Anything to check with parking or brake? Is there anything else I can check? Also tried with parking brake on. Also did the APPS reset leaving batteries disconnected for an hour

  20. Announcement: I will start producing a combination high idle/3 cyl high idle/MPG fooler box in a quality manner. This will not be a 1 time thing. I am going to order in bulk & produce probably 25 at a time. All plug & play with a small durable weatherproof connector to go through the firewall. ECT & IAT wiring will be OEM style plugs so that you do not have to cut & splice the harness. It'll be similar to the MAP sensor harness on a tuner or boost fooler:Unplug connector from sensor, plug in HI/MPG plug to sensor & plug in HI/MPG plug to truck's harness.I am trying to work with a well known diesel performance distributor, so that it will always be…
