Guys, I sold my 2002. After our last trip with the camper to Florida, we decided that the truck was just too loud for us. She gave us great service and am sad to hear (haha) her go. Thanks again for your help, time and insight as I tried to make my vehicle the best it could be. I posted in the classifieds some parts I removed before the sale. I have mirrors, and edge ez, shift kit and filter, and a fuel filter for sale. If anyone is interested , let me know.

  2. 5.16 Lubricity Diesel fuel injection systems rely on the diesel fuel to prevent wear in moving parts. In limited cases, some diesel fuel with very specific properties can have insufficient lubricating properties, which can lead to excessive wear of fuel injectors and pumps. The primary properties of concern are low viscosity and lack of lubricity. The minimum viscosity is controlled by ASTM D 975 and historically lubricity has been provided by naturally occurring surface active materials. However, these natural lubricity agents can be removed if severe hydrotreating processing is used. Hydroprocesses are used to reduce sulfur and aromatics contents and with …

Lady's and Gentlemen, I have 2002 Cummins, 108,000 K miles, Superchips programmer, 4" Banks exhaust with the power elbow, Airdog fuel pump and a cold air system. I just installed a Wicked wheel. Purchased a boost elbow. Now for the question.......I have a boost gauge, it hits about 19 at max. Do not want to damage my engine but you know how we are.....I would like to squeeze a little extra out of her. What is a safe boost level? Thank you in advance!

  4. Ok gang! Going to make this as simple as possible. On another forum everyone is now believing that 5 psi is a good fuel pressure to run. This is being said by a supplier that sells VP pumps. Although the Dodge service manual says 10 psi is the minimum. I have recently had correspondence with Cummins on this topic and they say "10 psi is the minimum" for the engine. I want you all to know I run 17 psi and am HAPPY with this pressure. What do you feel is the proper pressure to run?

Just got my edge juice w/ attitude CTS installed and was wondering what the safe temp ranges for Trans. and egt's are? Truck is a 2001 3500 24v w/ auto. I could not use the supplied boost elbow either. Will that affect much? Should I be concerned with any other temps?

Alternator has 334665 miles on it. Anything else to check before I replace it. If I do replace it should I keep it to have rebuilt. Or turn in as a core. Had the 5th gear retainer nut installed by my local shop about 6 months ago and now 5th is hung in gear. Just returned from that shop and was told they can't see any problem from shifter section on top of the tranny so it must be internal. He told me he shouldn't have to pull the tranny since 5th is in the tail section, that just means a little less in labor. This 5th gear is starting to $500 here $500 there me to death. He hasn't pulled the tail section off to see what exactly the problem is but I am sure it want be anything to do with the retainer nut because that is what he put in and said I would never have the issue again. So far he is correct I haven't loss 5t…

Owners manual, didn't want to wade through entire 60 page manual, (unless I get one) Question...Can I use this in my 2nd gen most of time but also move it to a different car when I want? Or once you program it for a certain vehicle, that's it? Question...Do all the features advertised work on 2nd gen's or do only show some, because of (age, or type of vehicle)? Question...Would you buy another? If I'm going to get something like a Quadzilla someday , is getting scan gauge worth the money? don't some features overlap? Thanks

man, this thing is AWESOME, so many different parameters can be shown, i found out from it that my TPS needed to be reset, so, i did that....also, for w/e reason, at idle, the MAP thing shows like 30, i don't know if that's good or bad...:confused anyway, here are some pics of where i mounted it and a couple vids of it in action... LOVE that fuel mileage... :hyper :D vids..... gotta wait about a week till i get to around 1/4 of a tank so i can calibrate it all the way right....

Installed Scan Gauge II and ran the setup. It gives me a 7.5 to 8.0 MPG while towing. My actual MPG was 10.2. Any ideas on what to do? Also, when towing my T/T (8800 lbs) into a slight headwind, I can barely maintain 60 MPH with the pedal on the floor. Is this normal? See signature for vehicle specs.ThanksMOHOK

  16. Hello All I have a Scangauge. I am wondering how accurate the boost reading is compared to a mechanical gauge. .....edit.... Ok, I just had another thought......So let me backtrack a bit.....I just bought a PowerPuck and an Quadzilla boost fooler (it plugs inline with the MAP sensor). I also just made a adjustable boost elbow and I do NOT have a mechanical boost gauge. At this point I have been watching my boost pressure via my ScanGauge. As my truck is unmodified the need to watch it at this point is for curiosity and MPG reasons only. I am planning on installing the newer goods today/this weekend, but I am now wondering if the Quadzilla boost fooler will alter my Sc…

Hey has anyone had problems with reading error codes with a ScanGauge II? I'm kind of wondering about this. Being that I got one and had a guy stop me and ask about error codes on his 2001 Dodge Cummins. Well I did the scan with the SG II and came up with only 1 code a P0216 (yeah the death code). But the owner asked me if there was a way to do it without a scanner? So I should hime the key trick... Guess what??? The SG II missed a bunch of codes!!! PPCU - P1693, P0500, P1682 PECU - P0522, P0523, P0216, P1693... :ahh: Felt like a dumb arse standing in front of a guy with a tool I swear by that missed the entire boat load of codes... So have any of you had this occur …

Ok Gang...I got the ScanGauge II dialed in perfectly and extremely accurate now. I know exactly how to do and make the adjustment so it right near perfect. Fillup Procedure.1. Pick a fuel station that you going to use for a calibration fill point.2. Pick a pump that you going to use for filling. You must return back to the very same pump in the same direction!3. Fill the tank on the lowest sped possible of the pump this reduces foaming of the fuel.4. When the pump shuts off. That's it! Hang up the nozzle! Don't round up to the nearest dollar...5. This you go through the fillup process but leave the setting alone. Don't change the offset percent. But you can change the pri…

Has anyone else had trouble with their display showing black boxes where the letter or number should be: Mine does this intermittently. If I unplug it and plug it back in, the display returns to normal. Also, some of the time it doesn't connect automatically with the truck. The gauges show no data. I have to unplug it and plug it back in for it to connect. Sometimes I have to do this more than once. Most of the time it works perfectly but these two problems are annoying. I emailed Linear Logic and they said to send it in for repair. I just want to make sure these aren't common glitches that aren't going to go away with repair. Not ba…
