Went out to the the truck tonite and noticed the driveway had some wetness on the ground and noticed a pretty good drip coming from my truck. I thought oh great what now. Got to looking and it was anti freeze dripping from the water pump. My first thought was great probably going to have to pull the radiator, shroud, front bumper, rear bumper, starter, tranny, and about 800 other things just to put fix the water pump. I was sure I was going to need a special dealer only tool also. Its not just a Dodge thing but seems like its always something, the manufacturers or engineers always make everything so difficult and you to have hands the size of an elf to be able to get to t…

I can't get fuel pressure to go above 11-12 till an hours worth of driving. I have all 1/2'' lines and tested everything else I can think of. Even tried two brand new AD 150's and bypassed the filter, still the same low pressure till warmed up for an hour or so. And the thing that's strange is you cannot find any problems with Raptor pumps on any google search beyond 2013. It's like they hired someone to keep all searching clean of problems before that year It makin me nuts I have not alternative except to turn up the regulator another 1/2 turn

Hey Folks, Just finished installing new set of isspro a pillar gauges last night. I hopped in the truck and started heading down the road. It was night time, my gauges lit up nice adjusted by the dimmer, window was down, couldn't get any better. Until i realized my fuel pressure gauge was only reading 8# at slow cruise and 2# wot. No problem. I suspected that I fouled up the fuel isolater install somehow. So when I got back to the shop I hooked up my handheld gauge and viola! 8# at idle. So this morning I drove to CDA Id. and picked up a new lift pump at alligator diesel. I just finished the install and am getting between 15 and 17 at idle. I am hoping that I caught my la…

  4. after reading many posts on this issue.. This is a pretty common problem.Ours comes on after it self-diagnoses (after engine start) and before vehicle moves...I'm confused though on this, if the sensors are at fault or inbalanced, wouldn't it cause the warning light to come on AFTER the vehicle moves?? Will do the fuse check and visual inspection of connections here this morning...

I've had this truck for just under a year and done a lot of repairs that the previous owner just didn't bother to do, as in both front brakes siezed so 1 new caliper as I'd got it in the garage, 1 new piston, seal kit and a slider kit, back brakes checked and freed off, ctm changed due to door locks not working, window runners fixed, Cat fuel filter complete fitted as previous plank decided it didn't need a filter and threw the whole lot away, luckily he only did about 100 miles in it afterwards, it had about 9 months MOT on it and our MOTs are strict usually so I'm guessing a mate did it. Anyway truck runs nice now, still more to do but I'd been thinking and…

All - planning a VP44 replacement soon and I'm wondering while in the vicinity if I should take care of a few other things. Namely tappet cover gasket, vacuum/steering pump seal, cam sensor. Think this "while i'm there" question has been asked a million times. What say the folks here?

Does anyone know if there is a native wire that receives 12v (when the key is turned on) by the rear bumper/trailer connection area? I like to have the option to view my rear view cam at any time but don't want it to be constantly on. I haven't found one so far and thought I'd ask before I run a long wire back there.

So I got the kit a couple days ago and just finished the install this morning. I flashed the truck with a Smarty so I know it has high idle enabled. With the truck off, I turned the knob to 3 cly high idle and start the truck. I got no high idle and I got a P0113 engine code. I didn’t turn the knob at all once I put the key in the ignition. Only thing I did out of the norm is I had to extend the wires in the harness. Unfortunately the harness isn’t long enough to reach the overhead console which is disappointing. Since an extra 4 ft would have been enough. Any ideas where I need to look? When I expanded the harness, I went color to …

  9. alright, I sold my 2002 dodge 2500 last week and picked up a 2000 Laramie slt 2500 short bed, its real nice! I like it. I had to have a new PCM installed in it today. (thankfully I have a great hook up ) so now the gauges work. but here is my dilemma , the guy I bought it from has 2 switches mounted on the lower dash, one is for converter lock up, the other is for over drive. and the transmission relay in the fuse block under the hood has been removed and 2 prongs are looped, (it does have a check engine light from it..) so I removed the looped wire, installed a new relay and leave the switches off. with the over drive button on it wont go into over drive. I check the w…

  10. 47re troubles: Replaced governor solenoid and sensor and filter last year, did band adjustment, tranny still slams into 4th unless I plan the shift and let off the throttle. Tranny searches between 3rd and 3rd lock-up with OD off going slow on the back roads but shifts strong at throttle. Transmission overdrive & lockup solenoid? Speed sensor too? Something else to replace while I have the pan off?...can't afford a built tranny till at least next year

  11. Hey Everyone! My 2000 3500 has a block with no crank position sensor port behind the starter. I just bought this truck. The previous owner or someone put an external crank tone ring on the front of the balancer with a home made cheezy bracket that holds the crank position sensor bolted to the front oil pan bolts. The truck runs ok but not as good as my other 2000 cummins. I think the crank sensor timing may be off, and it sounds like I have an injector knock. Is there an ECM I can get that eliminates the crank sensor? Someone also told me that I can wire the cam sensor and crank sensor together to fix this. If not should I convert it to the P7100 pump? This is going to be…

I need some help. I've got a 1999 Ram 2500 Cummins 4x4 auto transmission. I checked for ac noise and got a reading of .093 So I ordered a Nations 180 amp alternator and it came in today. My ecm was junk P0606 code auto computer specialists received it yesterday, waiting to hear from them on whether it a yes or no on being repairable. In the mean time I want to remove the tuner that is on the truck and put it back to stock. It has a early model Edge EZ manufacture date was 2008. I followed the wiring coming from the tuner, two connections that I saw were one to the maps on the drivers side towards the rear of the engine the other connection went to Idon't know what i…

I have a 00 dodge ram 2500 cummins with millions of problems. One of the issues I'm trying to address is the cold start. It looks like to me its blowing out a thick blue smoke. And when I drive down the road it dumps out for probably a good 2 mins. Then clears up and go backs to the black smoke. What could that be? I did pull a p0382 code.

  16. Went to adjust my kick down cable and add I was removing it from the housing I forgot to reinstall the clip. So as I was pulling the cable out the plastic cover that holds the cable popped out. Well I got it back together but now it needs adjusted because when I come to almost a stop my trans doesn't shift into first unless I give it some fuel. My concern is which way I need to move the cable. Do I move it back towards the firewall or keep pulling it forward? What started this is the fact that sometimes under wot it wouldn't shift it would max Rev and then defuel and sometimes while passing it would downshift and not upshift. Now while driving normal or …

The truck is a 98.5 leaks power steering fluid, couple weeks ago had to add more power steering fluid before leaving work loosened the 90° fitting for my fass to the IP above the power steering reservoir. I thought by chance I heard a crack noise when doing so. Drove an hour home truck seemed to be running okay. That night I went hunting and when I went to leave the truck had a hard time starting like it had air in my lines so I figured I just didn’t have the fitting tight. A I also noticed at that time the truck didn’t have the same throttle response etc. I took the 90° fitting off and tightended the banjo to the injection pump before reinstalling 90. Now this is here …

Alright... so here's what's going on. I went camping a couple weeks ago and left on a Thursday. The ride up was trouble free. The next morning I needed to move the trailer to another spot, I proceeded to start the truck and it had a hissy fit and a lot of trouble running. It would rev to 2k and then drop down to 700-800 then back up and down for a about 45 seconds to a minute. After that it smoothed out and drove fine for the rest of the weekend. It threw three codes one being P0237, and the "Wait to Start Light Relay" code the other I forgot. It began throwing the P0237 code over and over then went into limp mode. I parked it and checked the voltage going to the Ma…
