2nd Generation Dodge 24 Valve Powertrain

I acquired a stack of corrugated-plastic "Vote for me" signs from my father in law and plan to make winter fronts for my truck. How much of the grill do I need to leave open?

So I'm running winter fronts in my grill. When moving my temp is at 190 sometimes a few degrees more. But when I stop say at a light the Temps quickly drop to the low 180s. I would think they would stay at 190. I'm thinking the fan is kicking in and cooling things down. So what good is it to have the winter fronts.

Fellas, is it going to screw anything up computer wise by taking my both batteries out for a few months? I lay my truck up would like to take the batteries out and trickle charge them all winter. I store it to far away from a power source to leave them in with a trickle charger on them while in the truck

I could use some advice on storing my truck this winter. Unfortunately I have to store it outside in the Utah winter. I put a battery tender on the batteries and that has worked well in the past. The real question is the fuel. I have a 98Gal tank in the bed, which is out of the weather via an industrial topper. Should I fill up the tank? Should I burn out all the summer fuel and put in winterized fuel? Is there an additive I should put in the tank? What is the best way to take care of the fuel system while it sits in the winter? I don’t drive the truck in the winter because they use salt on the roads, and I want this truck to last until I am gone…..

Has any of you had this problem? My wipers don't park back to normal position after using washer fluid function, and also the intermittent selection malfunction sometime. I'll set it to low speed but it will almost be on high and sometimes ok. And for the wipers to be at park position, I have to catch them at that point and shut the switch off. I had similar problem happen on a different vehicle and after changing wiper control on steering wheel it didn't help and ended up being a wiper motor. Where should I look first? Thank you.

In the C1 connector on my PCM, the orange/black tracer wire that leads to the TPS has a wire tap connected to it leading to body ground. It is tapped a few inches out from the PCM. I am having no issues at this time, just curious if anyone knows what this is all about. It does not appear factory, and wiring diagram does not show that wire going to ground for any reason. 02 automatic.

Hey guys you know how or where I can get wiring harness for a Edge Comp for a 2002 Cummins. I have the unit but the wiring harness was misplaced while moving.

I have a '01 Dodge Cummins 4x4 automatic -truck had to go into the shop...being told that the wiring harness has melted together and we need a complete new one to the tune of 1065.00 plus 450.00 labor. It was flashing an ECM code and surging while driving which was the main reason it was taken in. Has anyone else had this happen or know why it might happen, or has anyone had to replace their wiring harness before?

Will the engine wiring harness from a 01' 3500 2wd manual transmission work on a 01' 3500 2wd automatic transmission. If so is there any modifications that need to be made. Thanks in advance

I have the chance to pick up an AirDog 100 with the twin filter set up for CHEAP. The short story on it is the guy was having problems with his truck running so he took it in to a shop and they told him his AirDog was junk. didn't have a fuel pressure gauge so had no idea what kind of fuel pressure he had and told the shop to change it out. Well didn't cure his problem so he wound up with what he says is a Perfectly Good spare pump. I told him I would be interested in it if I could bring it home and verify it does run. 01 24 valve. Gauge wiring, not using factory cluster, is there a harness that leaves the computer to feed signal to the gauges? I'm wiring them into a Chevy and need the signal wires. Thanks Ron

Hey folks, I'll be going thru some of the various wiring problems im having with my '00 2500 cummins here this weekend, and I want to get a head start on diagnosis / get my mind right on it. First problem, I've got the p0113 code and replaced my iat sensor which unfortunately did not solve the problem. on my scan tool, the temperature reads -40 degrees. Hi, I bought this truck about 3 months ago. It came with no keys (no its not stolen, guess buddy lost them) so he put in a master switch and a push button. Master switch turns truck on, push button starts the truck. A few weeks back I took out my remote start because it was in my way and I didn't have the use for It with the lack of keys anyway. Nothing changed with the truck I still used the switch and button just fine. 3 days ago, I was frustrated with the wires from the remote start hanging out so when I got home I took only the wires that were connected to nothing out. Just dreading what I have in my future. I don't remember having all this mess of wire everywhere in my previous truck. Ugh... Battery terminals have screws jammed in them on the passenger side to keep everything snug. Driver side positive post must have 5 additional lugs hooked to it.

I know I have read this before but here goes anyway. My old motor ran around 40 plus on the oil pressure, new motor runs on the edge of the next mark up. A big diff. from before, and I know it could be the sending unit which I can swap out sence I have a new one on my old motor. What would the next mark up be? And where does your gauge run?

Any opinions on the WIX Oil Filter? I saw the WIX 51607 listed on Rock Auto for $6.71 each in a case of 12. The Fleetguards are getting crazy $ even if I buy them by the half-dozen, but still worth it I figure. They also have FRAM's but I don't think I'll put any orange filters on MY truck.I know I've seen a chart showing which filters other than the Fleetguard to use but can't find it now...
