Hello I have an early 2001 2500 4X4 sport with rear drum brakes, I am in the process of changing brakes and I am looking for some help. I purchased the brake hardware kit and the one the parts store(orielys)shows for my truck is not correct. Any one have any idea's or maybe had the same issue before. I would like to see an exploded parts breakdown if anyone has a link I would really appreciate it. It appears the shop that did the job last put left and right on the wrong sides the auto adjusters where not contacting the star wheels, the shoes look new no wonder I had such lousy brakes I complained to them several times and got no satisfaction. Was unable to do them the l…

  2. So, I know that these trucks were not designed to just be making trips to the supermarket & back home every day, but I have a truck that basically has just been used as a daily driver all its life. The truck got used once to tow a trailer from Oregon to Alabama & that was the most work it has seen in its entire life.....Basically, right now, I am using the truck to drive back and forth to work every day.....The problem is that I live so close to my shop that most of the time the truck never even gets up to normal operating temperature from the time that its started till it is shut down. What I'm wondering is if this is bad for the engine over time to not get it up…

I was installing a edge comp today and according to the edge website you must disconnect the neg batteries.. I forgot that part so it tripes a few codes no big deal.. But did it do anything else that i need to fix.. I cleared the codes and the code number was p 0743, p 1765, and p 1693.. Would it of caused any harm to the chip? or the truck? Thanks

  5. I was running down the road last Wednesday and i Look down and the abs and brake lights were on. So i pulled codes today. 250 251 230 500 501 1689 1693 1765 I could see 1 code but all of these? Any ideas guys? thanks in advance.

Hello everybody this is Randy from Indiana, sorry it took so long to get these results but our labs busy season had started and i had to slip it in when I could. So i tested a Kendall GT-1 two cylce oil bought from Hires auto parts and compared it to our TDR-S product. The results are as follows: I treated the fuel with one once of two-cycle oil per ten gallons of diesel fuel or 700ppm's per gallon. The base fuel had a HFRR of 520um which is ASTM spec The fuel with the two-cycle oil had HFRR of 470um. The fuel treated with the TDR-S had a HFRR of 425umSo the answer to some of your questions is yes the two-cycle oil does lubricate your engines, but if you were …

  13. Ok Gang... I know we got a lot of knowledgeable guys with a few extra part in the garage and a bit of extra time here and there... I got a wonderful member that is need of help here. Russ is in a pinch with the economy going down and with his disabilities it hard for him to do the work himself. So I'm asking all the members of the site to please look at this message below and see if you can help Russ out... What I'm asking is if there is any member on the east coast near Rhodes Island that could give Russ a hand by either donating time or possibly parts to his cause.

Ok so i have a problem with my raptor fuel pump.I've had it for about a year and when i got it i got 3/8 lines. and i would see about a 5-7 psi drop with ds2.Now i just upgraded to all 1/2 lines including from ff to ip and a draw straw 5 and at 30psi fp i can get it down to about 4.(I know 30 is high but i set it there to see how low i could get it with out running to 0)I replaced the ff and checked/tightened all fittings. What could it be?Its driving me crazy. The only thing i can possibly think it could be is the "Straw" at the bottom of the module. When i installed it it seemed like it was a little close to the bottom with not much of a "Slash cut" to it.Could that being…

  19. My truck was running ok for about 160 miles and then it acted like it didnt have any power for a few minutes but then it was ok again. I checked the codes when I got home and I got 234 and 236, Ive had them before, the manual describes them as "problem detected in turbocharger wastegate" I checked the wastegate actuator and you can push the rod to open the wastegate with a screwdriver, it takes a some pressure but it does seem to open, and I hooked air to it and it opened at around 25psi, and it doesnt seem like the acuator is leaking or anything. Should it open at a lower psi? Im also getting a 382 code. The heater works when you plug it in, and the truck doesnt have any…
