2nd Generation Dodge Non-Powertrain

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this or not (if not someone can move it). I am looking for/considering a 2nd gen dodge cummins. I came across this dealer online and was wondering if anyone has dealt with them and what you guys think of this place. Seems like they have some clean trucks. Anyone ever taken the seat heaters from one seat and put in another? I have access to factory heated seats but they are the wrong color so I thought if the elements are removable just put them in my seats.

Well, it finally happened! My console quit working. Went to start the truck up this morning and no information showing. The lights and the security system still work though. Sad thing is I keep finding my self looking up for the temp. reading. I wonder how long it is going to take for me to quit that pattern! LOL

Does anyone know if the receiver hitch that came from the factory will fit on the front of the truck? I took it off and put a class V hitch on the rear.Thanks.

I have the above mentioned truck. The ONLY guage that works is the tach. I sent the ECM to cardone to be R&R and they sent it back saying it was fine. I obviously have some sort of wiring issue but weve literaly been tracing wires and making sure theres grounds and 5 volt references and 12 volts....etc for a few months now. Any typical places where a wire might have broken? Any other ideas what might be wrong? Im also looking for a wiring diagram for the wires behind the guage cluster. Those 2 square plugs that the guage cluster plugs into.Any help would be fantastic

Is it normal for some amount of slow leaking on the airbags? I put mine on new a couple mos. ago and loose about 10 lbs a week or so.

Drilled a hole in my evaporator core while troubleshooting my heater problem. Looks like the dash is coming out the week after christmas

Hopped in the truck to go hunting tonight cranked the blower up on high and just about crapped. This thing vibrated so bad I thought the dash was going to come apart.Everything sounds ok on the lower two speeds but when I put it on the third or fourth speeds I think I need safety glasses and a helmet.

Okay so yesterday the fuel gauge was showing a little under half which was correct. I parked the truck for maybe 2 hours and got back in it to drive and fuel now shows it is on Empty and the fuel light is on. Went and put some fuel in it and it didn't change... So I guess the fuel sender is probably out?? Can you buy that seperate from the canister or does it come together? A from a dealer I suppose?

My back tires are bald in the centers which tells me overinflation which I do run 60-70psi in all the time, loaded or not. I know Mike has that calculator but I am not convinced it works seeing as how no load would mean no pressure. The front tires are bald on the insides, which tells me the springs are shot, which I'm sure they are lol. Airbags for the front was only $80 so I will get the front jacked up to fix that issue.However, how do you know where level is? If I jack the front up, how do I know when the tires are perfectly flat on the ground, not leaning to one side or the other? This should factor in tire pressure probably since more pressure will make the cen…

I have the heated, power mirrors. The driver side has not worked since I bought the truck, the passenger side just went out this year. Any hints on common failure points? This might be just the excuse I need to buy the flip up tow mirrors though.

I came across an article about a track bar repair called "Luke's Link". It is supposed to rebuild the worn end of the track bar better than stock and be adjustable should it ever loosen up. Cost is $69 at Vulcan Performance.Has anyone tried this?I have a friend who is about to buy a track bar and I thought of telling him about this, but thought I would check to see if anyone has tried it yet.

I am installing a set of gauges (EGT, Boost, Transmission Temp) and am not real sure where to hook to boost gauge in to the engine. Pictures or a video would be helpful if there are any available.I am getting ready to drill and tap the exhaust manifold for the EGT gauge tomorrow, so if anyone has a picture of where you drilled your hole in the manifold that would be great too.Thanks...

is there a kit to lift the rear 2".I did the 2" level kit ,the front seams higher than the rear now

The LED readout on the radio stays lit only sometimes. If I push the LED screen it sometimes stays lit or if I hit the dash/radio with my hand it stays on for a pretty good time before it goes off again.It's kinda annoying. Anyone have this trouble with before.

Had to replace my evap core today...it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Mopar1973man, thanks for your video, that definitely was a lifesaver...I watched it bit by bit, as needed, and wouldn't have realized there was that last stud behind the PCM-:banghead:. I didn't disconnect the heater core hoses at the heater core, but rather off the feed and return lines on the engine...this seemed to help keep me from dumping fluid all over the cab when I pulled the box out, and was easier to get off. Ok I tried to down load the 02 schemeatic but I am missing a program to open RAR files with. what is rar and what program do I need to open it?As for the cruise It will not turn on, the light in the dash will not come on. I am not sure if the cruise light is supposed to self check but it doesn't illuminate at first key on like all the other cluster lights do. I put a new clock spring in today thinking that was the problem as my horn quit working as well but after taking the column trim off I found 3 broken wires which I fixed and replaced the clock spring anyhow. an now the cruise light still doen't turn on but the horn works again, I looked for a fuse for it in both fuse…

I got these from the dealership, they're for a 96, but should work on some of the other years. Figured someone else might be looking for these. Hope this helps some.
