My rear doors both leak onto the rear seat. Is there a fix besides replacing the seals on the cab?

My hydroboost has been leaking for sometime and since its such a fine spray of high pressure fluid it has made a mess out of the drivers side fender area. The brakes work fine, the power steering does wine from time to time when the fluid starts getting low though. It seems a shame to replace the whole unit when the leak is just between the master and the hydroboost. Anyone ever reseal one of these? I found some kits here http://www.piratejack.net/Hydro-Boost-Rebuild-Kits.html Kit 50 is what the Cummins Ram's need.

Hi, I am installing these Running Lights. Harness is 18 Gauge wire and has a 2A line fuse. The length of this universal harness far exceeds my needs for a neat install. The pamphlet cautions: “Do not modify the lamp harness or the switch harness in any way.” First inclination is to reach for side cutters, heat shrink, and tailor but wondering what others have done. Do I coil the excess or trim and are there any issues with doing so? Thanks

I'm following the ac wiring diagram on this website: Key in the on position. With the ac selector switch in the "face only" position and the blend door on all the way blue I have power at the LTGRN/WT wire at the PCM. This indicates to the PCM I want AC and there is not high pressure condition. When I tested the brown wire beside the LTGRN/WT there was no power coming from the low pressure switch, meaning again that there is no reason the compressor shouldnt start. I tested the DRKBL/ORG wire that is leaving the PCM. When I'm first putting the probe on the wire it flashes green but then goes away when I make solid contact on the w…

I finally installed a on/off/auto switch for my A/C. I get tired of the compressor cycling on and off while the truck is idling and now I have control of what vent selection it is on and off. While I was at it I decided to put in a switch for my lift pump. It is only used for priming and I didn't like the idea of the hobbs switch. I had no control and no indication if it was on. So, I simply disconnected the wires from the hobbs switch and installed an illuminated toggle switch. I didn't want to drill holes in the dash, bezel or anything else so I made a bracket and it attaches on 2 existing screws that secure the kick panel. I am happy with it so far.

So my G100 ground was in very sorry shape. I believed it to be the problem causing a no start issue I have been experiencing. Unfortunately it wasnt the proble, but I thought Id share anyway. The picture shows how I set it up. The materials I used were a Blue Seas bus bar (2300, included cover not shown), tefzel wire from mil spec wire 16, 14, 12, ancor marine cable for the 6ga ground cables, 3M High temp butt and ring connectors, and DSG heat shrink, tesa tape. The ground hardware is stainless steel 5/16 (bolt, washer, fender, star washer, nut, lug, star washer, nylock, nickel anti sieze). I put the new ground "studs" right next to the old for t…

Hey all, I have a 2001 24v and a few months ago i started noticing the throttle acting weird / revving up and letting off on its own a tiny bit when cruising around 55mph, I would then put it on cruise control and wouldn't notice it. Then the other day I noticed after driving on the highway/ with cruise control I'd get off to get fuel and the truck would be idling high around 1k until I shut it off and re start then it would be fine. Finally on the trip home I was running 70mph with cruise control on and the cruise control cut off and the throttle went unresponsive and threw a check engine light. I did the key thing to get the codes on the dash and got p0500,p1693,p0121,p…

I've slowly been buying parts for my '01 but never seem to have the time to do the install. I work in AK during the summer and run a commercial fishing boat but had to return after just two weeks due to some health issues my wife was having. Since I was now home (first summer in 19yrs and boy is it HOT in Chico CA during the summer, 108 +/- often), I figured I'd take the time do get some parts replaced, starting with some 3.73 gears. My buddy who is a former GM tech was in between jobs so I hired him to help with gear set install. Well, the Motive D70 3.73 gear set did NOT fit my trucks carrier as we could hardly get a pattern in the paint as the ring gear a…

My scangauge every now and then loses its connection. If I wiggle the OBDII port, the scangauge will come on and just say "Connecting..." for a while then shut back off. It is getting kind of annoying because it'll reset itself and all my settings go back to the default settings -- which makes getting real MPG numbers very difficult :banghead: Has anyone come across this or know of any solutions? Thanks, Ty

I'm trying to find out what the resistance range is for the fuel level sender in my 98.5. It works okay, but I seriously dislike the typical alinearity. Amazingly it is the original, just under 298,000 miles, but it is dangerously low on fuel by the time it reads 1/8 tank. You will be walking before it hits E. I want to switch over to a capacitive fuel level sensor for greater accuracy and no moving parts. I searched this forum and online and one source says 3.8 ohm full, 103.8 empty, but not sure I trust that. I found for a 2001 it is 20 ohms full, 220 empty. I know there are differences in fuel modules & fuel level senders at least between older an…

I have a glowshift egt gauge that has started acting weird. I hate these gauges and will never buy another, but I'm curious if it is fried or if something is interfeering with it. It works normally, but when under light acceleration or maintaining constant speed, it pegs out at max temps. Once I let off the throttle, goes to current temperature, or if I'm more aggressive in acceleration, it returns to normal temp also. I'm horrible with electronics, so I need your help to determine if its failing or not. I've had other glowshift gauges in the past, all have failed, this is my last remaining one. The last one the needle just bounced everywhere, there was no …

Was losing air for last few weeks, found a leak in a tire valve. It's leaking where it goes through the rim. I took it out and it was starting to tear. I have 4th gen rims and I believe the size is Tr413 .453" My question is can I use any valve or does it have to be a truck specific. I have some Milton ones that I use on everything else, just not sure of psi rating. The one that came out used to have tpms sensor attached to it, po kept the sensors when I got the rims, valve works without the sensor.

I am ready to upgrade the front disk brakes on my truck now that I have the 17" rims/tires on it. What recommendations do you have for new disks/pads? My budget will only allow a total of $300 for rotors, brackets and pads, so please keep this in mind. Fancy rotors may be nice to have, but the budget is my limitation.

The compressor is fine blows cold its the clutch that is squeaking and its 10 years old so I decided to replace. When adding oil should I measure what comes out and fill new compressor to that level? The compressor calls for 6.4 oz.
