Just bought a mid injector tune, how do I go about downloading this and putting it in my tru k? Can I just do that on my iPhone ? It just gives me this coding message https://m.imgur.com/a/tF5Ad5k

  2. So with all this stay at home stuff, or shelter in place depending on where you live and what terminology they use, I was bored the past couple days. Yesterday we had to make a trip out so I bought the couple things I needed to do a project I've been considering. I'll let the pictures show the project The first is before pic, then after.

  3. Right, my Dodge has developed another minor issue, I'm starting to remember why I bought a nearly brand new car in the first place. Anyway, the issue is this: My brake lights, seem to alter the indicators, indicating. For lack of a better way to explain it, usually you have the indicators going "tick tick tick", but when I press the brake pedal they go "tick.............tick...............tick", there's a pretty long pause between flashes. As the indicator in the instrument panel stays veeery dimly lit between flashes, I assume it's a ground issue somewhere, something, somewhere, is grounding where it shouldn't. I'm suspecting one of the taillights, perha…

Greetings! I know this has been discussed several times here - I have read all that I can find, but didn't find the answer to my question. My ball joints are worn out, and I would like to convert to a T steering setup. I know plenty of guys have said their Y steering is just fine if setup properly with no lift or big/wide tires. I have a lift and big/wide tires. According to what I have read, the newer style T setup will bolt on, but the taper is different in the knuckles and the pitman arm. I have read there is an HD T setup for 98-99 trucks that will bolt in and have the correct taper, but I cannot find a complete setup like has been mentioned here before. Does anyone k…

I’ll be finishing up installing my remote trans cooler over the weekend and I’d like to trigger the fan relay with the OD switch on the shifter. Is this possible, and if so where is the best place to tap my trigger wire? @IBMobile posted a diagram a while ago showing the circuitry, wiring, and fuses between the PCM and the shifter button (switch) that command OD on/off but I don’t understand it well enough to start cutting wires yet. His diagram shows fuse #14 powers the OD on/off light, so can I tap it there? And where is fuse #14 actually located? I’d tap into the wiring from the on/off button on the shifter, but it’s a momentary switch so I don’t think I can do that w…

Switch could be bad but it hasnt given me any troubles before. Checked fuses but all looked good, guess one could be bad anyway. Am I missing something on getting the gauge back lights working? Also installing gauges and would want dimmable option, I have only have positive and negative lead wires. I also dont remember wiring and installing gauge pods to be so difficult, I am having a time getting everything sorted out and routed. Edit: tabs on a pillar broke so time to epoxy... before they broke still had some wobble to the whole thing...

The fold out mirrow on the passenger side keeps moving around while I'm driving. Can anyone tell me how to adjust the mirrow?

Last week i installed a reman steering gearbox from Napa. Put the new box on and installed a steering brace with it. Now I am having a issue truck feels real sloppy when Turing right but when Turing left everything feels tight and steering wheel will return to center when I let go but not when turning right.

Hey guys, my AC went out last week and went and had it checked out and I've got a leak at the compressor and another one somewhere else but I can't remember off the top of my head where its at. Shop that looked at it quoted $1100 to fix it. Where is the best place to get an AC compessor and other AC parts for these trucks?

Got in the truck the other day to go to town, and when I get to the end of the driveway the brake pedal goes straight to the floor, no resistance at all. Good thing I'm used to downshifting coming to a stop. Anyway, get the thing back home and the master cylinder's empty, and no sign of a leak anywhere. I had last driven it three weeks prior with no problems. Refilled master cylinder, worked the brakes, and refilled again, let sit. Checked two days later, refilled master, checked for evidence of leak and found nothing. As it sits right now, I've got about a quart of fluid into it, very spongy pedal, ( I know I have to bleed them) and still no evidence of a leak anywh…

I decided to ditch the thermostatic switch on my auxiliary trans cooler with fan and wire a switch into the cab instead. I got cute and ordered a push button switch with a fan symbol and blue LED backlighting. Can anybody tell me (or draw on a napkin) the best best way to wire this to a relay? Should I be using a standard Bosch 5 pin relay or something different. The wires in the pic are as follows: Black-negative Green-closed White- normally open Blue- normally closed Red-positive

Was losing air for last few weeks, found a leak in a tire valve. It's leaking where it goes through the rim. I took it out and it was starting to tear. I have 4th gen rims and I believe the size is Tr413 .453" My question is can I use any valve or does it have to be a truck specific. I have some Milton ones that I use on everything else, just not sure of psi rating. The one that came out used to have tpms sensor attached to it, po kept the sensors when I got the rims, valve works without the sensor.

It's been several years since I've had to buy anything electrical for a vehicle. Years past I bought Napa components since that was the only game in town. These days one well respected independent shop recommends O'Rielly's, saying they won't buy Napa electrical parts, while some knowledgeable friends have had problems with O'Riell'ys parts. I need a multifunction switch, which store is recommended for quality electrical parts? Thanks

Voltmeter dropped off and "Check gauges" light dinged at me on the way to work yesterday. Got out the ol' voltmeter and tested the alternator-- sure enough, not charging. Just curious about which amperage the stock alternator is (napa has several listed) and if the brushes are replaceable in it or not. My Chilton manual says no, but I was suspicious that may just be to cover their hind quarters against people who have no business inside an alternator. As a side note, I was impressed with how little the batteries drained on the drive home! I guess with no ignition system to be running, there isn't a whole lot of load on the batteries other than the PCM (I kept the lights, w…

Does the overhead slash sunglasses holder just snap in? No compass display or temp. The issue im having is one of the push button lights is glowing all the time. I used to bump it and it would go out now it glows all the time. Still comes on as it should I just feel its a connection issue, ground.

Just purchased a qaudzilla iqaud for my 01 Cummins. I'm just wondering if there are some good tunes to download without the pump tappes? I've got 125hp sac injectors, airdog 100gph, and a 62/68/14 turbo going on with them just not wire tapping right this min. Thank you!

  17. Looking to replace control arms on a couple old 2nd gens. I am curious to know what experiences you guys have had with different aftermarket control arms? Good / bad or any advice you think a guy should know while searching. The trucks are staying stock so no lifts no big tires still daily driven work trucks. My thinking is if i am going to replace them i might as well get something better then stock. Also one of the trucks the excentric hole is wallowed out a bit from being run lose at some point. Its probably not the best to expect it to adjust correctly anymore. That one is mostly why i think i could get away with adjustable control arms. Otherwise non adjustable ones …

  18. So I bought an 02 24v knowing it needed some work and drove 40 miles home, then realized it needed a new map sensor because it was in limp mode so replaced the sensor and everything was running fine. The drivers side fender was heavily rusted out and needed replaced, so took the old fender off and took about a month before we could find another fender. Went to install new fender and reattached everything including grounds, went to hook battery's up and the truck went into start mode without the key in the ignition and actually tried to start. Any ideas on what this could be?

I have a 5sp with a pedal That I have to push almost all the way to the floor and it engages low also. It did this before and after a clutch install. Do I need a new clutch slave cylinder?

  20. So coming up on a birthday for my truck in October heading to 16 years of ownership and currently standing with 315k just about to roll up on the odometer. I'm still running the factory steering box and power steering pump. To this day the steering box is still tight and leak free. I've adjusted the over center adjustment a few times but still the steering box is working just the way it did when I bought the truck brand new in October of 2002 and it had only 43 miles on the clock when I test drove it. My truck has seen a lot of rough roads and dirt roads, off-road 4WD travels so, there is no pavement princess here. Now I have to admit the since I've never run…
