As awesome as the PW is, I found something i like better for less! My grail c body cars are 60-61 chrysler and 66 chrysler 300. Very clean car, 1 owner, 383RB 2bbl, push button auto. The only rust is in the trunk floor, even the fenders and trunk extensions are clean. Best yet, it runs! It needs a thorough once over before being driven, but everything works! Not bad for 2500 bucks! I hope to put a megasquirt tbi efi system on it, recover the seats, new exhaust and drive it!

Snowbird friends of ours attend the TDR rally every year, on their way from Yuma back to Spokane. We couldn't attend this year. But he did e-mail me this years schedule. This state of the art system consists of:... https://dcctools.com/en/witech/index.html Supposed to become "technicians best tool".

We bought a 1990 extended cab short bed gas (318) truck for $1,400. Automatic transmission, air conditioning. Nice little "farm" rig. We're going to paint it the old forest service green and spray in a bed liner. My wife is a forest service brat. Her dad was a ranger and smokey the bear.

318 2v, 4sp, divorced 205 tcase, really really clean and straight. runs excellent... the guy wants 6500 which i think is a bit high. Thoughts? The plan would be a megasquirt tbi efi homebrew kit and use as a fun old tow vehicle for my 70 barracuda (once its finished).

Looking at purchasing a 2012 Dodge 1500 Big Horn model with Hemi with 65RFE transmission ~$18.5k and 50k miles. Looks in good condition. If I get serious with it , I'll take to mechanic to check. Does any one have any known issue to look at or reservation on this year/model? Giving my 1999 Dodge 24v Cummings to family member Is there a better truck for about the same cost to look at before getting serious on this truck? Thanks for your feedback ahead of time!

so i'm in the market for another truck. i love my early 04. and don't plan on ever selling it. however, i'm inheriting some money form grandpas passing, so the wife gave me the go ahead to look for a 4th gen, mega, 4x4 with either a G56 of an aisin. the rest will be put into a third home. so of the 4th gen, what are the best years to look for.? if i ever have issues with DEF and DPF i'll delete. pro and cons of what years? i've looked but don't really find much... So i recently come to owning this truck as in description and ive been having an issue with the idle while in neutral and if i press the gas pedal slightly or let off, here are some examples the truck will idle real low almost to shutting off then will idle high to prevent its self from shutting off, another example is say im in a drivethur or at a light if i pull up a bit and stop it the rpm will jump up to around 2000 or 3000 varies, also while at a light if im in first or second when i start to go the truck will not accelerate nor does the rpm move untill if i either floor it or put it in neutral and rev the engine then it will start acceleration and thats about all m…

Another job dropped on my door step. Local gent was having issues with his Dakota with a misfire code P0304. It's the little V6 engine. So I told him to order the gasket for me and drop it off and I'll get it changed out. You'll notice the oil in the inside of the manifold which is typically when the plenum gasket fails. It will start drawing air from the cam valley drawing in little bits of oil. The owner also admits the truck had a K&N filter. You'll see the amount of grit and dirt let into the manifold. Little trick to pass along is while your scrapping the manifold gasket off take a shop vacuum and keep it near the area your working and the vacuum will pull in the…

Well I've been looking to upgrade from my 2wd short box to a 4x4 long box. With that, there brings up some things that I don't know a lot about so hoping I can use everyone's knowledge here to help me out! So ideally looking for a 2nd gen 4x4 long box with a manual trans. - The pros/cons between auto and a 5/6 speed? and with this pros/cons between the 94-98 and 98.5-02? - Any pros/cons between the 12v and 24v? I'm much more familiar with the 24v since that's what I currently have so I feel more comfortable wrenching on that, but is it much different on the 12v? I know the weak points of the 24v trucks being the lift pump, injection pump, poss hig…

Well guys hopefully this weekend I will learn how to install a door glass in my 2010 1500 Dodge hemi. Was doing yard work and had the bagger vac on the zero turn mower and it must have slung up a rock and took out my passenger side door window, ordered one right away from Rock auto and hopefully it shows this week and I will put together some pics as I learn myself how to do it.

My nephew threw a rod in his Dakota and we've only been able to find one motor locally to replace it. It's out of a 96 Ram 1500. Obviously I'll be swapping exhaust manifolds and all the the electronics... Is there anything else I need to be aware of?

Hello it has been a busy summer and want to give an update. I recently crossed of one of the vehicles I always wanted buy. I bought a 2006 Jeep Liberty CRD. It was a local one owner with 75k on the clock. It is a fun snappy vehicle to drive. Rack and pinion steering with a independent front end sure makes for a nice ride. I wanted something newer for the winter. The '87 Dodge D150 is getting tired and salt has taken its toll. My dad sold his '98 dodge 1/2T and picked up a '05 Dodge Ram 3500 Cummins with a G56-6speed. The parents want to buy a slide in camper when they retire and told me to look for a truck. I kept my eyes open for about 2 years before I found this one …

I'm shopping for new skins for the Avenger 225/55R17. 42,000 M on OEM Continentals. 1 broken belt otherwise might run them until the first snow. They don't really look much like an All Season tire but they've actually performed adequately last winter. I mostly drive easy, want good service life, good traction... live in the sticks! I'm leaning toward Cooper CS5 GT which is a 80,000 rated miles tire. Recommendations?? Avoid??

I used aluminizied steel gutter guard to screen the intake to keep mice out. Because it is against the soft hood gasket, i covered the metal with tape.

Is there anyone that has any knowledge of a factory darkened tinted window Mopar may have put out for the rams? (2nd Gen) Seems some automakers have the odd vehicle they did them for and I was wondering if they ever did one for these trucks?

i have an early 04 with 212K auto 4x4. it's runs like a new truck. has a few minor issues, hole in the seat, crack in center console. else it pristine truck. i've found an early 07 226K 6 speed manual. same truck 4door long box as mine. but in grey. it's 5K more then what i owe on my 04, i'm thinking in the terms of replacing the trans. it's almost a wash. i'd love a manual. So thoughts. both trucks are unmolested stock.

All, Anybody with old mopar experience? If so, feel free to chime in. I am going to be in a position in the next year to start work again on my long neglected 70 Cuda. I've owned the car for quite a while, and its sat in the barn at home awaiting (as my dad put it) "time on your part or interested grand-kids!" Well, I may just have time starting spring 2016 and I am not ruling out the kids... So, lets discuss engine options. Overall, the car is an original 318 auto sublime green car. I have the rest of the parts to finish the car into a power bulge and nearly correct clone of what a 6pack non AAR cuda would have been. See photo below of what it looked…

I'm not sure just when it happened... I have scratches that start low on the passengers door & run up in an arch & down the back door, gouged nearly through the moulding. The good news is the stratches are only in the paint. The moulding will need to be replaced... just plastic. Don't know if I rubbed a snowback with something in it (as the rear tire ran up on a bump). Or more likely a hunk of Tractor Trailer rubber / belt that's littering the roads... that was thrown up when I drove over it. (I park with the driver's door to the house so don't often walk all the way around.) As I read the insurances, if a tree falls on your car... that's comprehensi…
