I want to try this thing out. I have a separate hard drive with windows 8 on it that I will gladly format. Can't believe what a joke 8 is. I am not that good with software related crap so if anyone wants to see how it's done (by means of someone who isnt very computer savvy) then watch this thread as I will post screenshots and stuff (if I can figure out how). Maybe I am just setting myself up for disaster but I don't think I have anything to lose. I am big on a fancy interface though.. If I wanted it to look like windows 95 I woulda kept windows 95. So I am currently downloading it from here and then I will throw it on a USB stick. Stay tuned.

My water temp is still fluctuating all over from 190-220 or so I put in my old t-stat and ran it up the road. I forgot about my tags expiring 8 days ago and a sheriff stopped me. While im setting there with my 3yr old another sheriff pulls up and then another. They get out to shoot the crap with the one that pulled me over and finally after about 10 minutes come back to my truck and ask me to get out. Said he stopped me for my expired tags and then asked if i frequent a local road. I said I go down it sometimes but not frequent and hardly ever in the truck because its usually parked and im in the car. When I told him not in the truck, he looked at the other officer real q…

Just for the learning experience I'm building a web server here on this computer I normally use... It currently setup as a dual boot Ubuntu Linux 11.10 x64 and Windows Vista x64. So I went through and install LAMP server on Ubuntu and then installed Webmin WHM (Web Hosting Manager). Started thinking well it would be kind of fun to let some of you test drive the server and play with it. So I hooked up no-ip.com and installed it software to give me a free domain name with a dynamic IP. Now mind you if my computer goes down or I'm booted in Windows Vista the site will be gone... But here is a sneak peak at the site so far... http://mopar1973man.no-ip.org <- Part of the…

Long ago, in a previous life... the boat marina I worked at had a off road fork lift. We had 10' X 10' negitive drop & extra long forks made up on 4x6" steel tubing. We would sometimes extend the forks even further with wooden extensions in the hollow forks. We could lift outboard type boats out of the water on the forks and put them in in dry stack racks in the building. We could use it to pull motors... we'd walk boats back into the lift slip, put the forks under the flying bridge, with a cross beam & chainfall pull an engine, get it above deck level, walk the boat forward until the motor was over the cockpit (but not the stern rail) and lift it out free. …

  12. A paraprosdokian is a phrase or sentence that leads us down the garden path to an unexpected ending. Winston Churchill loved them."Where there's a will, I want to be in it," is a paraprosdokian. 1. Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.2. The last thing I want to do is hurt you. But it's still on my list.3. Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.4. If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.5. We never really grow up, we only learn how to act in public.6. War does not determine who is right - only who is left..7. Well gang... Tales of living in the country. Coming back from McCall, ID and past my neighbors place and notices a new runoff. That don't belong there. So I got home toss everything on the counter and hopped on the ATV and bailed up the mountain. With all the spring runoff the creek that supplies the irrigational dam is running high. The neighbor pulls water out above me and hasn't been paying attention much to his ditch. So with the high running water it pull all the debris down to a culvert and plugged it! So quick thinking using my poke stick I keep at this culvert I kept poking till I seen a whirlpool form... Gotcha! Now a bit of history the ditch was just dug ou…

So, as some may have read already, my wife's aunt is not doing good. As I type this she is actually out of the hospital! Death is a funny thing. Not literally funny, duh! What I mean is, is that there seems to be a pattern that occurs before someone passes. I do not believe this gets to happen with everyone, but for those who are terminal and are slowly dying. My wife's family witnessed this sort of occurrence on several occasions. When someone is terminal and only has so long to live, they experience this sort of roller coaster ride. Once word gets out about it, generally family will come and see the person. Before the visits, the person usually will have …

Today's day started yesterday. I was cleaning out the horse stalls yesterday and came back in with the 4 wheeler and trailer and one of the horses came in and went down. Had to go get some help and we were able to roll the gal over and get her back up. Took her out to the arena and got her walking around. The vet came out and told us that the she was bound up. Not from colic but old age. The vet said if nothing passed overnight that it didn't look good. Well, the regular vet came today and said it was time to put her down. My oldest son and I helped the vet and we were able to put her down. Bad thing is was this horse was born on my nephew's birthday. Who my mom was watch…

I have no sources to prove this so, but, if it concerns you so, try and look it up. I'm sure you can find some info on it.Thanks to the good ol' EPA, the composition of our oil is soon to change!I apologize if this has already been discussed, but I figure redunancy can't hurt when it comes to this. We all know diesel fuel is getting the strangle on lubricity. Well, so is our oil!Coming early 2013, the EPA is mandating that diesel crankcase oil will no longer contain the additive zinc. Gasoline vehicles already have that slashed from their oil. Diesel is soon to see it as well! From what I was told though, they are replacing the zinc with another "like" additive. Whether or…

These discussions on steering problems got me thinking. (http://forum.mopar1973man.com/threads/4860-Info-needed-Asap-please-fellas) Too many years ago... when I was separated, divorce pending, my soon to be ex had my Jap Challenger. Came the day we swapped back... I found the car had a half turn or more free play in the steering... it was a challege to keep it between the lines. Whats-her-name was a bar fly... where I found her... where she returned... We have not spoken since I moved out and there would be no point in asking what she did to that car. (What's another lie?) I found the adjustment on the steering box was stripped out. WTF?? The d…
