I picked up a Code 3 MX-7000 58" light bar for my truck to plow snow this winter.. I paid too much (found out after the fact) for it($300). It had extremely oxidized lenses, bulbs out, failed flashers, and a draggy rotater. No switch head, no gutter brackets, the list goes on. Most was found out after I got it home. So I: [*]disassembled it COMPLETELY [*]rewired portions that needed attention [*]rebuilt rotator motor (turned armature, re-faced brushes, etc.) [*]sanded and polished every lens [*]replaced all bulbs [*]replaced flashers I'll be making a 5-switch control box for it, possibly this week. A fuse block and Bosch SPST relays will …

So there is a yellow light on the dash, left side of steering column, low, that has been flashing when I come in the gate and down the bumpy road. I'm thinking it is the airbag warning light, sure I've seen it there, worried maybe the flashing on a bumpy road is telling me the collision sensor is getting tired (truck is a '95) and maybe I'm fixin' to eat the airbag, next big jolt. This morning it was flashing more frequently, and seemed to stay on for a while during braking. The angle is bad, my height and where I sit with respect to the wheel, and there is a stalk for the adjustable steering column right in line-of-sight. So I'm drivin' and worrin' and get to an empty …

I am currently at the GE Line Maintenance Course for the T700-GE-701D Engine (found in the Apache and Blackhawk). Today we were talking about airflow. The motor has a final PR of around 17:1, and moves at least 600lb/min! It moves more air in 10 seconds than my turbo does in a minute! This is only a "small" 1800 SHP turbine, not even the big dog's on the jet liners.Imagine how cool we would run at 600 lb/min! (thou the compressor takes more than 4,000 hp to operate).

In the past, most states had 'Roadside Vehicle Inspections' where they set up a random check point and stop vehicle driving down a road for inspection of vehicles being in compliance of that state laws and such. [*]Also, they checked for different things like drinking, drugs and such, but keep it as a vehicle inspection for general public announcement. [*]Now in Tennessee, TSA can now stop you with an inspection, but I believe this is for big rigs. Since moving here, I have seen this done for vehicle inspection and insurance purposes, (they also inform residences prior of this inspection in the local newspaper). The state I moved from hasn't done this fo…

So work comp issued me a settlement, no lawyer at all just decided to pay out. I guess I can just handle it myself but I can't afford time off work. What pisses me off the worst is I filled work comp for a work related injury. Sure a lot of people would be happy with the money they received from a work comp settlement but I am not. It doesn't matter the dollar amount. To me my hand is beyond value. Everything I do involves my hands. What really irks me is the system is structured around money. When someone is hurt on the job it shouldn't be about money. It should be about putting them back to functioning or better yet the same as before. They have done neither. …

Hey fellas, I just wanted to remind all of y'all that with the hunting season upon us to be extremely careful!!! The reason I'm saying this is, a friend of mine was airlifted earlier due to a 4wheeler accident! He got turned around in the woods and confused where we was, ran over a sapling and was spinning to get unstuck! When the 4wheeler freed up, he shot off about a 12 foot embankment and was trapped under his 4wheeler for almost an hour!!! So please be careful!!!

Luck just isnt on my side I was in another vehicle accident about 2 weeks ago (that makes 2 within in a year). Broke my left femur and have a rod in it now. Popped the right femur out of the hip socket and they had to perform surgery to get some bone fragments out of the hip socket and put a few screws in it. Also i broke my left wrist. Wish me a speedy recovery, i was almost completely healed from the last one then this happens :mad:Thanks-Jordan-

Well alot has happened since I disappeard of the face of the earth. But let me say I have popped in from time to time just to see what's going on. This site has always been near my heart and Great Bunch!! Hat's off to all of you. First off Big Red is back up and going. Yes it was the VP that was bad. I purchased an SoHo from the good guys at Mumau Diesel In PA. Talk to Jeff there if you need a good quality VP! They are the greatest. I also installed an AirDog to replace the original Holley Blue I installed many years ago. In my opioion I like the airdog but the cheap draw tube mod they have you do gave me a fit! It's a sucky setup. If you do get an airdog don't …

Grandma is eighty-eight years old and still drives her own car. She writes: Dear Grand-daughter, ... The other day I went up to our local Christian book store and saw a 'Honk if you love Jesus' bumper sticker .. I was feeling particularly sassy that day because I had just come from a thrilling choir performance, followed by a thunderous prayer meeting. So, I bought the sticker and put it on my bumper. Boy, am I glad I did; what an uplifting experience that followed. I was stopped at a red light at a busy intersection, just lost in thought about the Lord and how good he is, and I didn't notice that the light had changed. It is a good thing someone else loves Jesus because …

I rode with a guy the last couple days in a 2002 7.3. Anyhow, it gets 10mpg and the usual powerstroke woes. I went to some forums cause he wants to get the mileage I do so I tried to learn some stuff and basically I'm still without any info. There is nothing that says "this truck uses this fuel pump which is a rotary fuel pump which does this and this........." and lists all the details of how the whole truck works. I know I can find each thing, one at a time, through hours of searching and piecing together... This brings me to exhibit A *brings out poster*, which is to have a sticky in each forum on how these damn things work so when powerstroke guy converts t…
