I just got schooled on how to do all the library research crap at college and of course I went after diesel topics while I'm on break (now) and I just found something incredible that answers a LOT of problems that most of us don't have the means to prove/disprove. It is a PDF and I think it is public, guess I'll find out when I go to jail. I'm pretty sure its a publication on the internet but I can never find stuff like that through google. Anyways, there will be questions about all the acronyms and I already spent a while finding them all so I'll make your alls life easy lol. IMEP--Indicated Mean Effective Pressure: Basically the compression pressur…

I've got the engineering worked out, on how to mount it using Cat V receiver parts. The problem I'm struggling with is how to power the thing with enough juice to load something that won't run. It's a 10k winch, and I want to be able to power it using the tow vehical batteries. I have all the welding lead for cable that I could possible need to do the job. My questions would be: How do I hook it up to the batteries? What should I use for terminal connectors at the back of the truck, and coming off the winch on the trailer.

http://2016themovie.com/ So, I had the opportunity to partake in seeing this movie. I figured to definitely let you guys know of this movie. It finally made a showing here locally and I took the wife to see it. In summary: If you have any care for this country and for what it stands for, its a 100% important worthwhile thing to spend the money on seeing. It was not all exactly of what I expected to see, but nonetheless very important. The movie uncovers alot of mystery and fog around obama and his past life. Shedding some secrecy around his workings. I was shocked for sure and also was presented with a a different theory that meshes very well into the scheme of things…

A friend has a neat signal cannon in 8 gauge. Yeah, right, try to find 8 gauge cases. The plastic industrial shells have to be modified to work and then melt after a few firings with black powder. Brass or SS is the way to go. He contracted some cases made, but in the mean time I've been playing with some brass stock (cut off propeller shafting)... to make one. 8 bore 3.25" shell. It's been interesting as my 1930s vintage SouthBend is several generations of tooling obsolete. I have not kept up so it's been a learning curve to adapt my machine to new cutters & especially a new boring bar. It's do a few minutes, think about it for a day or 2... try something …

So glad this wasn't me! It appears something happened to the wires causing them to hang too low. Until these (2) 18 wheelers took them down. One North bound, one South bound. Actually, early today, Sunday morning, they were supposed to put them back up. These were High Voltage supp;y lines. Lucky no one way killed, either electrically or in the pile up following. If National Grid was at fault, we'll never hear any more about it! Russ NORTH ATTLEBOROUGH, Mass. -- Massachusetts State Police said a truck driver was injured when his northbound tractor-trailer rig struck overhead power lines that sagged across Interstate 95 in North Attleborough. The accident closed…

I figured that with the amount of Prior Service members we have, I'd start a thread. Feel free to talk anything military, reminisce, etc.. do start out, though, with your military experience. - - - Updated - - - US Army 1986-1994 19K20/19E20 E5-SGT Last Duty Unit/Station: 2nd Bn 69th AR Div, 197th Inf. Was at a stoplight the other day and an armored truck pulls up along side. A longer than usual red light, I notice a guard sitting in back of the truck next to side window. We exchanged a few glances so I rub two fingers together, giving the sign for big money. We smiled. Then he waits for the green light and just before taking off, gives another big smile and shows me this 3 foot long double stacked clear plastic bag full of new bills. I smile back in a state of shock:lol:. Couldn't believe what I just saw.....Wouldn't that be a nice truck?

Well I'm pushing even harder now. I managed to fire up Guild Wars which is a Windows game on Ubuntu Linux using WINE. So far so good... Here is some information on what I'm playing with... WINE http://www.winehq.org/ Ubuntu Linux http://www.ubuntu.com/ And the MMORPG game I'm firing up. http://www.guildwars.com/ I'm going to benchtest this and see if Linux is more stable than Windows Vista which seem to have hang issues and network dropping issues.

Not that I'm really surprised.. I think I say everything in the vid that needs to be said. But yeah, that penny rule where if it doesnt cover lincolns head, change it, is probably a good rule of thumb. It isn't the funnest thing having the front passenger side tire blow going that fast and then try and keep it going straight. Something else mighta been going on because it vibrated for a couple miles verrrry slightly before it blew, like a belt let go in the tire. I got a LOT of miles out of them, but obviously tread life isn't the only factor. Age seems to be another. Lesson learned. BUT, in hindsight, I would carry a better jack if you don't have an hour to work…

As many of you know I build chick-fil-a restarunts for a living. The president of CFA was interviewed the other day and was asked what his opinion on marriage was. I cant quote him, but he stated that he beleieved in marriage in the biblical sense, one man and one woman, his opinion. The *** and lesbian and whatever have picked up on this and have branded cfa as an anit *** company. We had a local news channel by yesterday trying to interview folks just of site and in my opinion just try to stir some controversy up. This morning 2 people showed up with signs stating that cfa was an anti *** company and they stood on the corner for about 3 hours. I guess they got discourag…
