I rode with a guy the last couple days in a 2002 7.3. Anyhow, it gets 10mpg and the usual powerstroke woes. I went to some forums cause he wants to get the mileage I do so I tried to learn some stuff and basically I'm still without any info. We have another fire on our back door, this one is only 1k acres and the wind was only 5-10 mph and 4 miles as the crow flys from my place. They got 60k gals of fire retardent before dark and now we wait till daylight.Just to give you a idea of the conditions it's DRY. We are 22 inches behind in rain fall and 120 days of 96 plus temps and 90 100 degree days. It went from winter to 100 degrees like it was overnight.They say in the Austin news that we have had 11 inches of rain, they dont live where I do. We have had 6 inches at my place. well not only did i run my truck out of fuel this weekend but after i got it running again and went home idecided to check fluid levels and what not before leaving for a new job on monday. i noticed that my coolant resevoir is a little low right after finding a jug of antifreeze in the bed that i could not figure out how it got there. well i just poured in a couple pints and right after that i realize it is not antifreeze it is the diesel fuel i bought to reprime my fuel system:doh:. man do i feel like a dumb a!!. thank goodness it was an easy fix and now i have a very clean resevoir.:lmao2:just goes to show that some good can come out of anything.

My old computers are vintage 2002. Desktop C drive is about full & as much as I love XP (because I know it), I think the support has been lacking recently.So I gave $200 (cash & carry) for a Dell 1545 laptop, Windows 7 Professonal OS. Complete with charger, software discs & manual so I don't think it was hot! It powers up ok... I have not had a chance to explore it yet.I do not find laptops convienent... I'm hoping I can plugin this larger screen, keyboard, mouse... Anybody know if I can close the cover after turning it on? Maybe tomorrow I can check out what it has for hardware.Russ
