Posted September 28, 20159 yr Anyone out there looking at the moon now? Big and Red, looks pretty awesome.
September 28, 20159 yr Owner I just went out to look and can't see it yet. Sure is dark out. I mean DARK OUT!
September 28, 20159 yr Just came in from watching it the last 2.5 hours, had an awesome view here from my back yard. Just a few floater clouds dead calm and beautiful here now. Took some pics and will try to get some loaded when I get a bit.
September 28, 20159 yr Drove back to Alabama tonight. Overcast all the way back from NC to Al. Managed a glimpse of the moon coming out of the shadow was all.
September 28, 20159 yr We had a great view of it from the back yard with minimal city lights to the east. VERY cool! The kids all thought it was pretty neat too.
September 28, 20159 yr Staff Is this the 4th Blood Moon now? The one that marks the time Jewish people are talking about?
September 28, 20159 yr Nice. Done way better than I did. I'm not going to bother posting. These were what my wife snapped with our old Nikon Coolpix S4 digital camera, have not down loaded the pics I took with out newer camera yet.
September 28, 20159 yr Is this the 4th Blood Moon now? The one that marks the time Jewish people are talking about? This was more than a blood moon, it was a Full moon eclipse and blood moon which they call a "Super Moon".
September 28, 20159 yr This was more than a blood moon, it was a Full moon eclipse and blood moon which they call a "Super Moon". The super moon part of it had to do with the fact the moon is at its closest point to the earth which made it appear even larger than normal. Apogee or perogee i forget which. All in all a pretty rare occurence. http://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-34375868 Nice pictures Bill. Edited September 28, 20159 yr by dripley
