November 26, 20159 yr I might give this a shot for my fog lights. They are looking kinda like they are 13 years old.

November 26, 20159 yr Staff I cleaned mine with Meguiar's® Plastx™ clear plastic cleaner and polish last April. I used a drill with a foam pad to clean and polish but did not spray them with any sealer. A customer had his done professionally and sprayed with lacquer. 6mo later they were yellow and the lacquer made it worse. Edited November 26, 20159 yr by IBMobile
November 26, 20159 yr Agreed, that this will work.. and will work longer than just buffing the lenses with a restoration kit. But, I've done the 'clear coat' paint method years ago, and it was yellowed WITH paint-checking within a year's time. To clean them up after that, it's much easier and time-saving to just buy new ones, as the paint will take hours to strip/sand off to get back to square one.
November 26, 20159 yr Mine was, yes. Although may not have been plastic -specific.. that, i don't remember.
November 28, 20159 yr I've sanded my headlight lenses with excellent results, though I have yet to put any kind of sealer on them. I wonder how something like this would work? It is UV resistant so I ASSume it would work.
November 28, 20159 yr I just bought new units and they came with new bulbs for $75 for the pair. They are like stock but enough light for me. Hopefully they will last a good while. Had them for 3 years now and they are still clear.
