I am interested and so is friend of mine who has 12 valve and tail pipe rusted off stock muffler. I am interested in a muffler that is not really loud, not really expensive, and flow's alot better then stock. Is there such a muffler out there? I don't care for the straight through with no muffler but am interested in what you guys run. Thanks Chris

I'm running a MBRP on mine. I like it very much. Not too loud but as described by some of my Power Storke friends " Your truck sounds Evil"

I got a bully dogLOVE ITbut mbrp was the other one I was looking at as its good value:)

i've really consider upgrading my exhaust but... :broke:

5 inch mbrp nice sound, not to loud, good whistle. oops 5" DIAMOND EYE. I have had 4 systems on here, straight 3", 4" MBRP, straight 5" stacks with **** cuts. Sounds good for about 10 days then drive you crazy.

Hard to go wrong with the Donaldson's. I paid about $65 for mine, and flows a TON. The 40" is a good volume, not loud, no drone, only real noticeable when towing at upper rpms. The 51" is even quieter.I run the M085171, the M090544 is the 4" 51" version.

Hushpower for me.It has a funky cone something or other inside that they say gets a few hp on a dyno.

I have 4" MBRP resonator and muffler on a straight system and happy with it. It will start to drone at about 2100 rpm! I think it would be too loud without the resonator.

Good subject,I want to increase the size of my muffler where do you start the increase ,right at the manifold ?Of what I can see the bigger the better,no restriction is best for power what about fuel economy?

Even though this thread is 6+ months old :)I run the 5" Diamond Eye Turbo Back exhaust. It's got a little tone to it, but overall, it's fairly quiet.

I have to add the hushpower is a race proven muffler and not loud when you run it under the truck. My 7 in stacks behind the cab dont help to quiet it at all.

my ol' blue 12v had a 7" stack (single) and was insanely loud, but DAMNED if it didn't sound so good to me. Neighbors didn't particularly care for it at 430am when I left for work.

I help my neighbors out as much as i can fixing there cars up and there house to help balance things out:lmao:

I have ran 2 5in diamond eye turbo back systems and they are great.:thumb1:

5" DIAMOND EYE sounds good but do you keep the 3' exhaust pipe or you go bigger?
