I'm going to do some rust repair on the bottom of my doors and I'm just going to use rattle cans to paint.  Does anyone know of a good paint that will match fairly close?  It doesn't have to match perfect, I'll just paint up to the trim.

I go to auto body paint supply stores.  Some of them either have in stock or can get the 'exact' color in a spray can. 

Here's duplicolor rattle cans...in the sunlight you can definitely see the difference. White should be easy though

No rust, yet,  just missing paint from 200k miles and mud tires. Was trying to prevent rust and pitting. That whole side of the bed was replaced, crappy paint job whoever did it.

Might look better to do a contrasting color from body line down, black or gray etc 

I have seen some nice jobs done with Line-x or something similari in black or grey

Also was wondering if I need to weld any, should I unhook the batteries or anything else?

Nice work @CTcummins24V! The paint looks very good. Not sure if you're into them or not, but mudflaps help with that issue

Disconnect the batteries' negative cables other wise you risk over voltage across the ECU and PCM.    

I wonder what it would look like after all those miles, if you had stainless steel stick on rocker panels. I don't know for certain, I heard they trap moisture and can cause more problems but, then you hear a lot on the internet than actual experience, so I don't know.

Kick plates on hollow metal will do that over time.
