"T" fitting in fuel line to pressure gauge is leaking.  What's best to stop leak?  Epoxy glue, thread locker, tephlon tape?

Pipe dope with ptfe, compatable with gas oil etc, you can get it almost anywhere. 

I've used this and it worked really well.  My T-fitting weeped a little and this stopped that.

I'd second the loctite 545, it's good stuff!

AND for the lock tight stuff.  How does everybody keep theirs so the next time you use it, it is still good and not dried out?

 

The loctite stuff is only like $20/ ounce. Don't worry about it

most loc tite chemicals are anaeorobic.  This means they only harden when they are deprived oxygen.  The bottles are designed to allow a bit of ambient air to constantly move through, so they will stay liquid.  I have some products that are YEARS old and still liquid.  (we will get to whether they work or not in a different thread...)

Do not store them in a tupperware container, or a ziplock bag.   They need to stay out on a shelf so oxygen can freely migrate into the bottle.

I keep the top closed when storing and shake the dickens out of it before I use it and it's always worked fine.

With fuel fittings I don't like to use any kind of thread sealants or tapes. To much risk of any sealant getting into the fuel system and be drawn into the VP44 and creating issues. If it makes past that it will for sure get caught in the crossover tubes and restrict flow. I've always used brass fitting which typically are self-sealing just a matter of tightening enough.
