As the title says next week I will be out in Utah for 2 weeks and plan on visiting the folks at Edge Products to drop off my Drag Comp for repair. I plan on spending as much time as I can with them and one of their product specialists. So for all of you I am starting this thread to compile any questions, suggestion, concerns, you might have to pass to them and gain insight to their future product to pass on to you. Please Respond here with your lists by Tuesday Nov 9th am so I can get it to them and I’ll respond back after my Visit.

Get a direct answer as to why they still do not have a fix for the issue of the second gen comp boxes with the hot unlock Not wanting to turn on in cold weather. If they do turn on they will not send a signal or power to the Vp44 until the comp box unit warms up. They have replaced mine several times and sometimes they will acknowlege the issue but most times they play dumb and pretend they have never heard of the issue. But they never fail to send out a new unit with the same issue. I gave up on them over this.

Like the Edge Comp 4th and 5th level crossing bug I've got... I replace it several time and the screwed it up everytime... But the problem say you set 4x1 and 5x5 and run on 5 then the truck run like 4x1... But now change 4x1 to 4x5 and set main level 5 and bam! Instant power... So I know to keep 4th and 5th levels the same...

Granted there's not been a lot of responses to this post, but I'll say this.............with just readin the 2 responses to the initial thread makes me really, really happy I got the Smarty!!!!! Not one issue at all with that bad boy and two-three times the benefit for the buck as the Edge...............I can say that, because I ran the E Jw/a for over 2 years!!!!!!! It was good.........but HOT when you got on it. Smarty has gobbs more power and doesn't get hot!!!

You have 3rd gen which the smarty is a perfect match for, smarty on a stock second gen is OK but if it is modded in any way 2nd gen smarty isn't the way to go. I ran one for a few years on my 02 in different configurations and it wasn't a good fit for what I already had done.

As far as I know only the regular comps with the Hot unlock feature have the issue I describe. I have not heard any problems with the Juice boxes.

i know how much everyone loves banks around here:rolleyes:, but i've had my stinger pus for 5 years and 120k miles with no problems(knock on wood:pray:). as for power my right foot is the controller.

Could you ask them if they could add high idle mode to the edge juice with attitude please. Also ask if they are planning to make an app for android phones which would work like the attitude monitor.

Made it to Utah today, looking forward to getting with the gang at Edge. I'll set up a day tomarrow. Let ya'll know how things go. JG
