  • How many parts is a good question. I get asked that a lot. I can guess at a few. 1. New tires every 100k. 2. Too many u joints to count. 3. Three gallons of oil every 20k miles for the first 500k mike

I was actually looking forward to the pic of a mile after that. What's it say now?

It says 999999. It didn't flip. I was really hoping it would.

So at 999,999, your odometer breaks, great  At least now you can say you have done something not many people can, on Easter too! I couldn't do it but I commend you for doing it. Nice work! :thumb1:

:cheers:absolutely fantastic.congrats mr.flynn:cheers:

So now Dodge gives him a new free truck, RIGHT?

I think a case could be made since the odometer breaks! LOL I've got to say that's a minor nightmare! Hope you have the overhead dohickey with 2 more trip meters so maintenance intervals don't become trip mete math sagas. Congrats.

However there is no proof you actually hit 1mil. odo still only reads 999999. :lmao: Wonder if a dealership could reset it, or if it is still counting just not showing? Nice, I was happy with my almost 250K :kick: Or, now you gotta pull the engine and put it in a truck with a working odo.

Way to go CajFlynn!!!!! Sorry for being absent here over Easter, but I had a full house of "out-of-town" relatives. I wonder if a Stealership DBRIII scan tool could reset the Odometer to zero again???? You should notify Cummins also.........I think they'd love to hear about this!!!!:smart::smart: :2cents: Keep on Truckin'!!!!!:thumb1:

way to Go Flynstar !!!!:hyper:Now that trucks worth and extra $10k on trade :) as nonone will believe it and will think its a 99k miler !!! :thumb1::lmao2:

Way to go man!!!!:hyper::hyper::hyper:Maybe a magazine would be interested in doing a story about the truck?

Truly awesome, Caj..Order your 1M miler badge from genos/TDR ;)I'm sure that's quite a small, elite group.

Must not be very big trailer... :shrug:Even my 30 feet Jayco Eagle weighs in at roughly 7,200# with a GCW of 15,020# with the truck. So far I've not done much better than about 13 MPG towing my beast around. Even towing my 8x8 utility trailer with a cord of firewood I only get 14-16 MPG...

Maybe I missed it. Was he able to get the odometer reset? Probably cost him an arm and a leg to have that done! :lmao:

Typical of modern-day "reporters"!!!! Essentially all they are is "stenographers".........writing down what folks say without any questions!!!!!While I was attending the University of Illinois, there was a gal down the hall, a "journalism major" that thought Alaska was an "ISLAND" because they always showed it separate from the (her words here) "from the rest of the country, just like Hawaii"!!!!! Enough said, y'all know where this is gonna go!!

Dodge did give a guy a new dash cluster that started at 1,000,000 miles and used the DRB to correct the numbers. i can't find the link but i bet if cajflynn called dodge they would do something for him!

friend just shared this link with me. little light on details for my taste - I'd love to know engine, trans, and rearend teardown history - but if he drives light enough to get 20mpg pulling maybe it's more original parts than I'd expect?

http://www.thefordstory.com/our-articles/trucks/f-350%20super%20duty/1020000-plus-miles-on-this-road-trip-truck/

i read that article a while ago, while i have issues with fords im glad to see that someone has one that works great, makes me wonder if fors are really just crap or maybe it is the operators.......(gets into a story i know about a guy with a F-450 i know:lol:)
