Hello all, Just bought my first diesel (and truck for that matter). I've previously been driving a 2008 Ford Mustang GT. It's time for the Mustang to turn into more of a track/project car, so I needed a new truck to drive/tow with. A little background about me. I joined the Army a year after HS and did my 4 years and got out. I'm a currently a student at Texas Tech University studying Petroleum Engineering. I have one more year left...
Woo! Description of the truck is in the signature. Right now it has a drop-in K&N that the previous owner installed. I have a BHAF ordered and on the way with a black cover. Transmission still shifts solid with moderate acceleration, and every once in awhile it will wonder in and out of the TC/Lock-up when driving easy around 47-50 mph. I came to this forum from CFs, after I saw a lot of links to what I was looking for forwarded to this site and MoparMan's write-ups. I look forward to learning more about diesel performance/maintenance. Questions: I'm not sure how to find out if the truck has different injectors (or what size they are), or what I can do easily/cheap to increase the performance reliability. I am also not sure where the "puke bottle" is, and how I can see if has been removed/modified on my truck. I can post pictures if needed.
Thanks!
