November 29, 201212 yr So just a quick question for anybody on this thread. Where did you all tap the fuel pressure gauge into? I dont have one yet:banghead:, but am looking into getting one very soon. Also, what is bad about the FASS DDRP pump? Im just curious....
November 29, 201212 yr there's a fitting on the VP pump to test fuel pressure.. I replaced that banjo fitting with one designed to hold a FP sensor.
November 29, 201212 yr I went with the DDRP & 3/8 big line kit a year ago and no problem yet ,running roughly 18 psi idle and 14 psi WOT,kept the original OEM filter & drawsraw.It's a pretty good set up,I 'm not planning any mods,my gauge hose is set up on a T before the VIP,with the big line kit it makes it easy as everything is JIC fittings.
December 4, 201212 yr Ok cool. My truck came with the ddrp when I bought it. Another question. What brand of fuel pressure gauges do you recommend? I'm looking for something fairly cheap but accurate of course:)
December 4, 201212 yr I'm using a liquid filled gauge on a 1/16 ID hose,I leave the set up under the hood,once in a while I pull the set up on top of the hood to see my pressure.Eventually I'll set up a pillar gauge.

December 5, 201212 yr Owner Glowshift is considered to be a low quality gauge by some. But if you get a mechanical gauge and needle valve you'd be all set. But I don't think you can beat a $40 buck ISSPro gauge... Edited February 11, 20223 yr by Mopar1973Man
December 6, 201212 yr Awesome, thanks mike. The reason I was looking at glowshift is so I could ge a package deal and have all matching gauges. I will probably get the isspro one for now though.

December 9, 201212 yr I second isspro, have installed several and they are top notch. I run isspro egt, boost and trans temp.
December 29, 201212 yr So i got an Isspro 30psi gauge. The one I got didnt come with any plumbing or anything to hook it up. Now how do i go about hooking it up? I have heard about using a snubber or an isolator but where does that get installed? Any info would be great. I just dont know what the best/easiest way to go about it would be. Thank you everyone!!!

January 5, 201312 yr Another added benefit to using the valve. My gauge line developed a leak and its been way to cold to do anything with it outside, so i just shut the valve off and waiting for a warmer day. Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk 2

January 5, 201312 yr Got my gauge all set up. Runnin a solid 15 psi at idle. Hung around 13 while cruising. Did one hard pull at wide open throttle and it dropped down to 9 for a second. Is this about right for a ddrp?

January 6, 201312 yr Ok that's kinda what I thought. If I wasn't running such large injectors, would that help keep my pressures up? Cause there would t be as much fuel going into the engine, making the pressure to the vp higher??
