Well I've made it home for the summer and it's time to start tearing this thing apart. I will begin tomorrow, but yesterday I took it to the dyno. Laid down 503 / 1215. I was very pleased with the numbers, but the knocking is getting worse to it's time to take it apart.

No apology needed! I would just like to keep everyone informed on what is and is not available from each company.

Not sure why I thought I read NV5600.

I don't see any DD clutch for any Dpdge application that is two different materials.

I misread. I thought I read NV5600.

Well this sucks. Paint is less than a year old.   I'll get a better picture tomorrow.

I see no blood so I am betting another human caused this.

So what is the story behind it?

A guy in a round-about didn't have his lights on and I didn't see him. My passenger didn't see him either, but he claims they were on....

He had just come out of a store with a well lit parking lot, so I don't think he realized they were off.

Ouch. Well at least your in good shape. Body work fixable, humans not so easily fixable.

Sorry to hear and see this bud. I'm just glad your in one piece.

I bet if I painted my tuck that is exactly the result I would see. Story of my life.

Man, that sucks.

I once rear ended the MINES Registrar and destroyed the rear hatch of her Subaru... It was while I was a student there.  Thankfully, she didn't try to destroy my academic life.

The good news is, that those are all easily replaced.  You didn't hit your cab or your door.  You just have to rehang a new junk yard fender.  Hoods, fenders, and bumpers are easy to paint.  Hopefully you still have a pint or so to do touchup.

I think my dad has a new bumper in the barn if you need one.

That sounds horrible! I haven't hit anyone at school, and I haven't been hit by another student yet.

I'm sure they will use new parts.... I don't have time to do this one myself. Luckily the guy who painted the truck works at a dealership (Body and sometimes paint) and I trust him with it so I should be okay.

I might have to take you up on the bumper offer.... I'm not buying a new one though. She's getting a replacement this time!

Sorry to see this. Gotta love those roundabouts!

They are great as long as people know how to use them.

Got the quote today. Right at $3,000 to put it back together.

On a lighter note I took it to Bandimere Speedway.
I was in the right lane both times, and the guy in the left had a 2014 Mega cab that was deleted and had EFI.
Not too bad for a college kid's tow truck / DD

Pretty good numbers there.

A little practice on the tree and you can definitely knock off a bit more time.

Boosted launch?

Haha my reaction was terrible! First time I'd ever been to the track though.

No boosted launch....4wd @ 2500rpm then let out on the clutch hard for the left one. 18-1900 on the right one.

2wd didn't turn out so well.....

So my fun at the track came at an expense.... I had shoved a smaller hose inside my breather tube so that I could route it a different way, and that smaller hose was way too small.
It blew out the tappet cover seal, and finally finished itself off today. I came out of a store to BIG puddles on the ground , and the whole underside was coated in oil. I filled it up and got home asap. It leaked about a quart in 20 miles....
So I spent my night fixing that. It's always something!
I got a longer hose for the tappet cover breather and opened back up the front cover breather.
