No O.D or lock up
Most likely a connection issues between the column shift button and the PCM. That is all part of the PCM circuit. The button only makes it drop 4th gear. The lockup is controlled by the PCM and its software.

Used Pacbrake install
Please when you do get it done make the article that would be a huge help.

Used Pacbrake install
I wish someone could make a article about this. I've seen several people with older exhaust brakes and would be nice to build a simple controller for these older units using the ECM trigger like the old school Jacobs Brakes.

Torque converter slippage
Once lockup occurs there should be zero. (3rd OD OFF and 4th gear).

No O.D or lock up
Be Careful, it might not energize the wire till there is tach signal. Being the transmission control relay is on the same blue wire for the alternator field, which typically is not energized till tach signal (engine running).

Bingo. Exactly what I thought... Thanks @Dynamic...

Lug nuts - lube or not ?
I've always just torqued to 120 foot pounds wet or dry. 410k miles and still going no issues.

Abs nightmare
DRBIII tool is about the only thing I know of that reads the ABS codes. Even my 500 dollar Innova Code reader with both SRS and ABS can't read the Dodge ABS.

Engine Stutter/cough on acceleration...is vp44 bad?
Not even a 12 volt system but a 5 volt system on the APPS. Typically 3.5 and higher will trip a code P0123.

Getting slower out here. I'm use to getting up at 6am and watching the truckers stream through the canyon in the early morning hours. No school bus, no truckers, highway is quiet. Work wise I'm now at the point of running out. I've got a few nickle and dime jobs but Not really worth jumping out the door today for. As for safety sake if Eileen get any medical problems or appointments I'm geared up with the RV. All the bedding is washed and cleaned. Reloaded with propane. Now to split up some food supplies for the RV and pack our clothes. My yard is big enough if others want to escape the city could come out here and camp on the lawn. Barely 33*F here but its an option.

Finally in Riggins, ID turned into mad dash to get supplies now. Local grocery store is being raided fairly heavy. Limits placed on food and supplies. The local Chevron station that does repairs and tires is close till further notice. Most of the motels in town are empty. Restaurants are empty as well. I'm now going to be out of work and not looking for new job till things blow over a bit better.

47re temps in traffic
Anytime the TQ conv is unlocked. It doesn't even have to work hard to make it hot. An empty truck traveling speed limit of 15 MPH up grade is enough to over heat a transmission. This is really common out here with the steep climbs and automatic owners for all big 3 truck Ford, Dodge and Chevy. Hence why I having all the luck of changing transmissions.

Kick in Riggins ID and New Meadows ID. Pollock is a smudge on the map not even a town. That would be like calling up Lucile ID also another non existent town.

F150 Ecoboost and 5th wheel
I never liked 5th wheels for the 25% pin weight they come with. I always loved bumper pulls you can have bigger RV but only 15% hitch weight and do fine. 5th wheels typically require a full one ton truck to do properly. Yeah @dripley should be on 1 ton truck for his too. Last time I scaled out I was -60 pounds from GVWR on the truck then only -3.000 pounds from GCWR. As for the trailer it was -500 pounds from GVWR.

coronavirus protection
If you were to come here you would see normal activities still. No one is even worried or slowing down. I watched the news last night and watch how San Francisco is closing down all kinds of restaurants and places that 10 or more can gather. Here its just normal life.

New Adventure! - Just Blogging
Just a fun day of pulling a Chevy Transmission. What is it with Chevy owners never change the gear box oil, check the level, or even thing about it. This one is locked up and transmission is being upgraded from the NV3500 to the NV4500.

Not I said the fly. Already have my weapons, ammo, etc. Locally, Big cities like Lewiston, ID are now hoarding baby wipes, ammo, disinfectant wipes, etc. I know what Eileen's kids down in Boise area are saying about finding TP and other supplies. Bad timing on our part. Is that we started cleaning out the pantry in the basement. Most of the can goods were starting to rot the can and been on the shelf way too long. We tossed up most of it. Now the pantry is empty and we have a limited supply of canned food. Another one I do have is a few cases of top ramen. Then have a few cases of MRE's. We have managed to spread the food around the two building and now some out to the RV next. We are not in bad shape but limited. I'm hearing rumors of shut downs up to 2 to 8 weeks now.

Quadzilla Issues
I'm the weirdest set up. I'm running 18.04.4 Ubuntu Linux. Then have Virtual Box with Windows 7. Then I can run the Quadzilla flash updater. Typically on Linux side I will call out the... lsusb This displays all the connected USB devices. Then using this information I can enable on the virtualbox the right USB device Im going to use. Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub Bus 001 Device 004: ID 058f:6364 Alcor Micro Corp. AU6477 Card Reader Controller Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub Bus 003 Device 003: ID 045e:00cb Microsoft Corp. coronavirus protection
I've got to say thank you to all that have posted. This gives us a good idea of how bad things are going. For all you in larger cities please take your precautions and protect yourselves. Myself I'm going to bunk down right here at home and stay put. I know that Eileen has medical appointments but we are going to cautious as well. My 2002 Dodge is back in action. I've got a few things to fix. RV on the other hand Eileen pull all the bedding and washed it. We are starting to pack it with supplies and food. Even updated the Quadzilla software to the 2.8.4 firmware. Now for the 1996 Dodge I've got to figure out some minor issues. Most likely need to change the trans fluid and filter. Shifting weird. Eileen has a medical assistant behind her. She has been following this and advising her kids as well. They stay in contact all the time through Facebook messenger (video chat). Weather wise it should start warming up around here heading into the 60's the next few days. At least warmer weather you can be outside and don't have to be under a roof.

Pepsi's modified 1999 Long Term Injector study.
@Dynamic What is is that Smarty software with TQ Man feature allows for much more fuel at low speeds. This means either light throttle or heavy throttle usage. This now changes the TV cable position without adjusting. Pepsi can go up on power and have it shifting early because more power less throttle. Now go down in power and need more throttle now it shift later. Basically what is happening is the Smarty is at 100% throttle by your actually at 30 to 35% throttle actually.

47re temps in traffic
Like my 46RE I've got a clamp on temp sensor for now till I get the bung and weld it in at the next fluid change. At least this is the hot line leaving the transmission to the cooler. As @Dynamic would say the fluid in the pan is what the transmission is going to use right now. The hot line is the temperature of the torque converter and it waste fluid headed for the cooler. Test ports are not useable because that fluid will not move for long periods if the transmission isn't shift constantly or using that port. The the fluid temp is just heat soak.

47re temps in traffic
Temperature is invalid. That is not a flowing fluid port. Either you need to tap the cooler line or weld a bung into the pan.

coronavirus protection
I've got good neighbors that will keep an eye on things. Older people have a bit harder time fighting Coronavirus. It inflames the wind pipe and lung tissue creating a breathing issues and possible death. So far it only affecting older folks the most. There is a few cases of younger people but they tend to fight it rather easy.

Yup. I went into Riggins, ID and did a bit more shopping. Shocker! We have toilet paper, bleach, disinfectant wipes, etc. The fact is eventually that will dry up and not be restocked in the future. I was informed that the supplies they have now will not be replaced for some time being the bigger cities are eating it up. Now I came up with the ultimate protection idea. Since I'm out here in Central Idaho why not wait till it get a bit worse and I'm packing to the wood with my RV in tow and stay away from people. We can always sneak home in the evenings and grab more stock of food and goodies. Then during the crisis just stay out in the back country away from people. I've got better faith in drinking from local creeks than most of the bottled drinks.

Pepsi's modified 1999 Long Term Injector study.
All @pepsi71ocean has to do is change his tune on the Smarty and it will change the shift parameters because the TQ man setting gets fuel down lower causing the throttle to be lighter than other other tunes and now it shifts different because TV cable is pulled less.
