  1. This was only 2 hours to yank out the HVAC case to change a heat core.
  2. Absolutely!!!
  3. Because your DVM is poor quality. It should be down around millivolt levels. So this means you current DVM does NOT have a setting down to say 2V AC or 200mV AC levels.
  4. Really? This dog in deep snow?! Cookie jar next to him even... Talk about lazy dog...
  5. Opps... We've managed to hi-jack this thread...
  6. So what did everyone get for Christmas?
  7. Merry Christmas to one and all !!!!
  8. Typical HVAC removal. This is only a 1.5 to 2 hour job now for me.
  9. Kick panel bolts? One driver side and one passenger side. Center support bolts? There are 2 bolts and 2 nuts here too...
  10. Your not the only one... This is highway 95 south of New Meadows, ID on Monday. Then I was called out to Riggins, ID to look at the marquee sign and it fried from the power outage. Another claim on Idaho Power.
  11. I found on this truck the dash cracking issues is from the driver side kick panel bolt was loose so the entire driver side is cracked from loose bolt from bouncing around the back country.
  12. Actually he said, " Merry Christmas I'm on my way to Arizona and my heat core had died. I Need the truck by the time I return on Monday.
  13. How about the grill guard? No tubing to protect the grill or headlights?
  14. http://brundage.com/snow-report/
  15. I'm thankful I bought the plow blade for the ATV. Keep the driveway cleaned up is a snap. RV is tucked up under the spruce tree and keeping most of the snow off it.
  16. Talk to Pepsi71Ocean he just bought a set of cable that are nearly OEM exact!

  19. Battery cables. I will bet the cable are tired. Here is what I've got parked in the shop. I wonder how people get away with this? Look at that positive terminal. It a clamp on junk terminal. The core of the main cable is corroded. More accessory junk tied to the terminal. Secondary cable is just as rotten. Please people take the time to take care of your cables.
  20. Bill... Where is the picture?
  21. I started today by washing out the entire HVAC case with a power washer and 40* nozzle. Glad I did this because the stench of dried antifreeze would have stayed in the box. Every time the owner would fire up would smell antifreeze old antifreeze. That's gone now with the washing. The evaporator got a good washing out externally and the mud ran out of the face. Much better you can see light through the evaporator now. Now I get to the blend door stepper motor and find the plastic bushing is cracked. A good time to just order the "Heater Treater" and replace it.
  22. I would take the time and get some mineral spirits and wash the system out good. I'm sure it will blacken the mineral spirits rocking the intercooler back and forth. I would pull the turbo and wash the turbo since your going to be rebuilding it.
  23. If your going to get to the point of doing the heater core you might well service the entire HVAC box and know everything works correctly.
  24. Just realized that... My bad, I'll shut up...
