I met JoeCool Today
Thanks Mike! It was a great afternoon and I too feel I made a new friend and brother in Christ. He's offered to help me with his no weld tank access hatch through the bed. Would have made a great article. My initial motivation was to verify contact info before the site closes. Jag1 and I discussed whether Michael was making his decision to close the site from a financial standpoint or time. My guess is both. I feel like it's not too late to steer clear of closing. Michael reminds me a lot of my Pastor, God will provide as long as we do the right thing. I've got some suggestions to offer. Make a significant push for money now that we know what we are about to loose. Maybe even charge memberships and pay for needed hardware and software needs and pay for an administrator. I'm not sure if Michael knows how sad we all are and questioning whether being more generous with donations in the past would have made a difference? Sometimes decisions are not black and white. Maybe a grey decision is available.

Re-locating Frantz system
That is my understanding. I think Deborah is out of the picture. Wow, Deborah's prices were a lot better. Like $200. I think I got everything in my Kit besides the oil filter spacer block/oil pickup for like $249. Not sure Ida spent $469.

High Idle Kits
Ok.

High Idle Kits
Can I hook up the front sensor to the water temp and wait to hook up the AIT connection until I have the time to create access? Will this allow for MPG to work? Asking this when its 58 degrees out.

Door lock adjustment
The unlock issue seems to be a summer thing. It is working fine since the weather has cooled. Have not torn into it yet. I assume that its a link adjustment or bending issue.

1500 gasser
He's not here right now. He claims you do not hear the pump come on. I'll get codes later.

1500 gasser
My boys ram truck is having fuel probs. He's replaced fuel pump and filter and still not getting fuel. Think it's a 98.

Mopar1973Man Looking for someone to do masonry.
I think the stacked wall concept is a better value than masonary work. Check with local wholesale suppliers of pavers and wall blocks for contractors in your area who are reputable. Good excavator operator is your friend. Do it in the summer when soil is dry. No need to pay guys to smear mud in all the joints of brick.

Mopar1973Man Looking for someone to do masonry.
You could build it yourself with engineered stacked blocks. Good base is the hardest part. Then stack and backfill with gravel and dirt. Lay a drainline at the base.

I'm a Gideon, oops I now see your looking for a masonary and not a missionary. Lol. Good luck. Anchoring is one issue as set back is to allow for future movement behind the wall if you're trying to hold back soil.

woodstove talk again....
Our largest woodstove is in and the basement. We have no central heating system to move air throughout the house. The stairs are only about 8' from the stove, but the heat really doesn't go upstairs very well. My only solution is to put a grate in the floor right above the stove. Not sure if a fan would be necessary too? Any other ideas? Maybe a second grate for return air in the other side of the room?

High Idle Kits
I can't understand how manipulating the sensor could effect as you describe.
-
AIT sensor access?
Are you running that stuff through the suction line of the power washer?
-
AIT sensor access?
Man, that sucker is clean. What products do you use?
-
AIT sensor access?
I'm installing a mpg and high idle fooler. My hands are quite big and trying to determine the easest way to make the connection to the ait. Take off the bracket for the dip stick and remove fuel filter? Or find an Aisian woman to help? Lol.

It's Hell Getting Old...............
Like one of my old clients used to say. Getting old is not for sissies.

Back up camera?
Can anyone recommend a decent aftermarket backup camera? The newer trucks have one integrated into the radio. Not interested in that. Something that can indicate backing up in parking lots etcetera and provide a good shot of the stinger ball for trailer. I never get it right the first shot. Meaning 2-5 trips in and out of the truck. And I may change trailers 3-4 days a week.

Cool weather timing advance sensor?
Cool, thanks Ed.

Cool weather timing advance sensor?
Is it possible that my timing is advanced all the time? In other words if the sensor (name eludes me) has failed, can it stay in advance all the time? I keep thinking that my truck sounds advanced all the time? When I install the fooler, if the sensor is faulty will fooler retard the timing when set to mpg?

House Fire Call in Riggins, Idaho
We've had minor flashbacks on our stove. Good reason to crack open the door and allow smoke etcetera to go up the chimney before swinging it open. If you're buring really cranked down to extend burn time, not a bad idea to open the draft and allow the stove to resparate before opening. You gotta be smarter than the stove.

Mercedes Diesel
I am a big fan of bang for your Buck. I'm becoming a real estate broker. Been working in real estate for a long time as an investor. I'm interested in working with investors and possibly self directed IRA's to fund transactions and diversify investments away from the stock market. Home prices fluctuate, but rent prices has been stable and increasing. Plus I can manage property for customers that I sell to. A lot of people don't like that side of real estate. Anyway, I am not going to become a big shot when the market is strong. We have most everything we need. But I love a good value and comfort in a vehicle. Unless I'm missing something, the 90's Mercedes diesels are a great value. $5k will get you into a very good looking rig. And provide great comfort and fuel economy for both in town and hiway driving. So now I am wondering if there is a downside to these vehicles? Are the a victim to vanity and cast off before their useful lives are over? Or will they be a maintenance nightmare?

I'm becoming a Gideon!
I've submitted the paperwork to become a Gideon. So now I've committed to saving souls. If anyone here needs a bible, I'll send you one. Quite small, but it will get you started.
