Bleeding brakes
I am doing caliper rebuilding and pad replacement on the front today. Do I need to bleed the rear during this process or is that area isolated from the front?

Finally got a real fuel pressure gauge!
A couple of our venders sell isspro. I have the regular Isspro mechanical fuel pressure gauge and its rock solid. I don't recommend using an isolator. Since I've removed mine I've not skipped a beat!

Front and Rear bumper build
Buck stop are 1/4", but you're looking at $2,000+. In my mind 3/16 is probably adequate. Got my front from CPP for $499 shipped. They sell rears too. For a guy who doesn't have a bunch of steel laying around, it's a pretty good price. But please wait for them to become a vendor to support them. Look to DAP or vulcan.

For you beekeepers!
I'm going to do the oxalic acid vaporization for mites. Actually saw Michael bush at a one day presentation here this winter. A wealth of info, but the reality is that treatment free is a long road. I think he has some good ideas to integrate, but I'm not going treatment free. It's taken decades for Michael to get treatment free and it starts with bees that are genetically survivers. Going one hive top entrance and one regular bottom. Looks like mites and swarm control are the big issues. Keeping the population high going into winter. Feeding at appropriate times.

You can just cut and strain it. But I too am anxious to find out how much this Costs.

Throttle Stab
I don't know cause I've never done it. Seems like abuse of your vehicle. I just want to keep maintenance costs to a minimum and reliability high.

Maybe if he donates enough you'll give him a better answer

Replaced water pump, now no start
Wow man, the water pump on these is about as simple as it gets to change. Can't imagine what's wrong. Hope you get some help here soon! Not that many places water and oil can mix, but most of them are serious.

An age When Bones Can't take it any longer
We have canine teeth for a reason, to tear flesh. He's lucky. Three prongs to longevity...genetics, lifestyle and luck. For me a healthy diet is meat and vegetables and as few grains as possible. I just need to do what I know is healthy. Funny thing about vegetarians, they usually drive a Prius. What does the carbon footprint look like eating vegetables in the winter?

will be busy soon, questions for the membership
I bet if installed at a shop they'd not be near as careful as any of the above suggestions. They all sound good!

Grandson
Yep, first grandchild.

Grandson
He was born at 8:45pm last night. I'll get a pic uploaded soon. 6:15 and 20' long and very handsome. Hands look small enough to fit down and hook the AIT sensor up on my high idle kit.

Grandson

Cleaning engine compartment?
Kinda like a firearm. Don't shoot anything that's not dangerous or tasty.

Cleaning engine compartment?
Yeah, I was thinking of getting one of those flexible tips for getting under, etcetera. I have my own power warsher. 1 gallon garden sprayers are pretty cheap too.

Cleaning engine compartment?
I am embarrassed to show anyone what lurks under the hood of my truck. Have had a few suggestions, but think it would be good to get this out for everyone. Good products for soaking off grime and grease? I've heard that Simple Green works well (Jag1 says). Concerns about power washer use under the hood?

ABS / BRAKE Light
When extremely wet like driving through slushy snow my ABS light comes on. Only has done it a few times in the 3 years I have had the truck. So intermittent that I have not dealt with it yet. Must be an electrical connection or open insulation like michaels. Doing front brakes soon. Will look for problems with sensor connections/insulative sheath then.
