  1. Just that it will soon be time for you to set out a chunk of change. Like Ed says you don't know when it is going to happen. Once you do put a new one in you want to make sure that you are treating the fuel with a 2 cycle oil diet, have a good lift pump with good fuel pressure.
  2. Welcome to the site. It might be best to set it to default. You don't know what your friend entered into it. The MPG that shows is correct. Mine will go upto 9999. That is what your truck is currently obtaining at that precise moment. You use that gauge as well as the AVG gauge. When you are driving you want that MPG gauge higher than the AVG gauge. As for what else you asked, are you trying to make additional x-gauges? Mike knows the ScanGauge very well. He has a couple of videos of the gauge as well. He'll set you up when he gets on line.
  3. Sorry to hear about the 0216 code. But, you definately need to find out what your pressure is. You don't want to put on a new VP and find out that the pressure is inadequate. You might be able to get a sweet package deal.
  4. I would check for codes first. Even though the CEL is off. Has your fuel pressure dropped as well? When did you last change your fuel filter?
  5. Did you drive it to a shop to have it tested? If you did it at home and the engine was cold the drop that you saw was your grid heaters cycling.
  6. How did you pull the codes? The 1693 code is a companion code. You have to have another code.
  7. This has got to be the best quote of 2009. http://sn104w.snt104.mail.live.com/mail/SafeRedirect.aspx?hm__tg=http://65.55.85.55/att/GetAttachment.aspx&hm__qs=file%3d2771f97f-a9a3-48de-9567-f3f7b0ea51b2.jpg%26ct%3daW1hZ2UvanBlZw_3d_3d%26name%3daW1hZ2UwMDEuanBn%26inline%3d1%26rfc%3d0%26empty%3dFalse%26imgsrc%3dcid%253a031001ca8e82%2524787ef7c0%25246501a8c0%2540wcf%26msgHash%3dffffffffffffffff&oneredir=1&ip=10.13.6.8&d=d1523&mf=160&a=01_62fa39a0980459a48c2190a4c5446ed8c5814f1ff396f02609f8edd336019766 "As an American I am not so shocked that Obama was given the Nobel Peace Prize without any accomplishments to his name, but that America gave him the White House based on the same credentials." 8. Ok, whose truck is this? It's close to you Ed! LOl http://www.kptv.com/automotive/22131318/detail.html
  9. Very little danger on the inside of the frame. Even if you installed it on the outside you could always fab up a cover case for it. Just like what they do for batteries on a big rig.
  10. I got that too. Didn't want to post it on here in fear of getting yelled at! Yeah I am chicken. How true though!
  11. Learn something every day! Welcome.
  12. The sudden dip of the lights is normal, that is the grid heaters. (As long as it is only for a short time.) Never heard of a lift pump doing that. Is that a stock lift pump? At start up, that seems low (10 volts) I would check to make sure the batteries are good. Have them tested. Weak batteries can give you a lot of gremlins to our trucks. Even 1 weak battery will make a difference. Also, make sure your cables are clean and tight. I have heard of guys say their trans has acted up because of a bad battery or lose connection. Also go to the "User CP" and edit your signature. Tell us everything about your truck relating to it. Mods, year, etc. Also, WELCOME to the forum. Their is a lot of knowledge that you can get from this site.
  13. http://www.bumpersandbeds.com/ Saw this on another site. Scroll to the bottom.
  14. My first one acted up to. I bought mine from a place right down the road from Linear Logic. They took care of me a HECK of a lot better than trying to talk to Linear logic. Good luck.
  15. Sorry to hear about that. What kind of lift pump are you running?
  16. Nice job on the install. Your probably feeling a lot more at ease with knowing you have a good fuel pressure!
  17. The animal control guy in the video gets clawed by the cat. I saw the whole video a couple of years ago. The cat lands all 4 claws into his leg and doesn't let go. Needless to say he was in pain for a while.
  18. http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummins/general/2-cycle-oil/2-cycle-oil.htm Enjoy the reading. This will tell you just about eveything you would like to know about 2 cycle oil.
  19. Racer Dan, you weren't one of the Dodge Dealerships that was closed down were you?
  20. Don't have to make the wife happy! (She wanted to be a teenager again) So, I will keep my VP happy!
  21. Have you received your ScanGauge back yet?
  22. Our deer come in the summertime and eat the grape vines in the vineyards. They haven't figured out that we haven't made the wine yet!
  23. Thought some of you might like these pics. This was on Hi Way 22 in N. Oregon about 40 mi from the ocean. The herd was just grazing and right by the road. The herd was about 50 strong. The one picture with them looking at the camera was caused by my son's 06 Dodge that is straight piped. He reved the engine and the whole herd looked up at us. Never seen a herd that big in numbers.
