  1. yes a tune for 7 x .010's will not be well suited for you. There are a half dozen stock to small injector tunes in the tune section. Download those, run them and see what you think.
  2. I figured they were torn or something. I mis understood.
  3. don't split egt probe wires. You can't rename a gauge in the app itself unless you edit the xml file that controls the the vehicle profile. You can see how to do this in the quadzilla tips and tricks article, but most dont bother.
  4. ok. Well let us know when you have a tune built and have questions.
  5. that could explain some things.
  6. would have been funny to watch.l
  7. They abandoned Tfarao's truck, it was still stuck on lvl 1 when he got it back. I can't remmeber much about it, but I think tyler said it wouldn't do more than 10-20 mph the way it was.
  8. Datalog and post your tune. The only real difference in the tune is the rpm settings to allow for more timing variables. You can just match your old tune and set the new timing variables to 30*
  9. Glad it was easy fix.
  10. What level are you starting in? Sounds like you are sticking it in lvl 1 which is valet mode, most tunes have %50 power setup as valet. beyond that you need to post what tunes you are running This is very confusing. just above that you say it ran very nice in another tune, but below you say they all do the same thing? also learn how to data log. it is critical to do to help troubleshoot.
  11. I think more people are looking at pop pressure and they is why the "new" issue is coming up. It is likely that it is common and no one cares. I dont think injector size has anything to do with pop pressure settling. a nicely tuned 2nd gen with 7 x .010's is about the perfect setup. You can leave a light at WOT, have 0 smoke and still put down 400 + hp. auto trucks are easier to tune as the TC isn't locked on take off like a manual truck so there is a bit of room to "mess up " your tune. Once I had my tune nailed down, took a day of messing with it to be happy ( but I understand the code behind it so it is easier), I never switched levels or tunes. I towed with it, raced with it etc. IE I didn't see any need for a screen. I didn't need to tow watching in the egt gauge or worry about x y z if that makes sense
  12. I %100 agree, it's not for everyone. As with most things, the more function you get in a product the more complex it is to use. give and take. This is why I always ask " what are you looking to gain" when someone asks if they should switch. If you don't have a need that the quad can solve then I am always hesitant to tell someone to switch given the increased complexity.
  13. Idle state is %100 ecm The quad is not sending out fueling and timing commands. Unless Quad high idle is enabled. the way the hand off works is you hit 1000 rpms and the quad takes over until TPS < 2 or rpms rpms fall below 600 rpm in which case the ecm takes back over. So there is no jumpin gback and forth of control of fueling unless you are somehow jumping between 1000 rpm and 600 rpm while on the pedal. Also worth noting you can have odd stuff happen if say your apps isn't reading correct or say your cam / crank sensor is not reading steadyish. Now you ask, "why doesn't it just work like the edge" and I say back, because the edge doesn't pull fueling down below stock levels. It is VERY easy to just add fuel on top of the oem signal. No one ever compains about a couple extra % of fuel off idle. However you start pulling fueling down off idle and people get mad if you just have a stick cut off point. It has been awhile, but I believe it took me over a month of coding and testing to get the beta testers happy with it. I dont even wanna guess how much diesel I burnt lol
  14. Not sure what you are talking about? You can make your wiring as neat as you want?
  15. Export your tune so we know what you are running. datalogging
  16. we need an output tune from you first. Then we need a datalog showing what you are unhappy with. without a datalog we cannot help as we can't see what is going on.
  17. No, The quadzilla reads map values from the ecm until 16 psi. this is likely just the way your truck is some late trucks seem to have lazy map outputs from the ecm. As long as map increases smoothly and is not jumpy then there is no issue.
  18. You can look through the hosted tunes in the quadzilla section.
  19. Add fuel down low until you are happy. Follow the tuning article guide it outlines how to do this.
  20. I get it, it's not for everyone. That's fine. you just need realitic expectations for it.
  21. Step #1, is to understand the tuning. you need to read the below article and understand what the tuning variables do. If you are not willing to put in time to tune your truck, then it won't work well. The quadzilla is not supposed to be like the edge. The edge is plug and play and you get what you get. The quadzilla gives YOU the power to make the truck run like you want. Hence the verbage at the start of the how to article. I know the Quadzilla is up to the task because I have only had 1 instance where a truck didn't run well with it and I have helped tune, in person, over a dozen trucks and vastly more over the internet. Every Edge to Quad convert that took the time to tune the truck said it is smoother and puts down more power with less smoke. I've been watching this thread and I have not seen any specific questions asked. I have not seen any of the tuning steps done. Have your tuned your canbus curve BEFORE messing with wiretap IE levels 4+ ? are you happy with your canbus tuning? are you happy with your timing curve? Have you datalogged your changes to compare and isolate issues? I think you are trying to speed through the tuning process by combining steps and getting less than stellar results.
  22. Please read the tuning guides. You will be much better off to understand what changes you are making. More fueling sooner makes power come on harder
  23. https://mopar1973man.com/files/categories/ Go down to xzt flash files
  24. Go into the downloads section of the site. They are all there stored.
  25. That contains how to on importing tunes via andriod and ios
